Hi guys, hope you all enjoy my story. This is my first one so......

-------------------------------------------------------

He stood there. My ideal guy, inches away. Gingerly I took a step forward then stopped and asked myself 'What if he's not the one?' But that thought was pointless because I knew it was totally wrong. Drew Woolnough was the guy for me, I'd loved him ever since I knew him. We've been 'just friends' for years now but today that was all going to change. Today would be the day that it was all going to change...

"Kaitlin!" Yelled Lila, pulling me out of bed. "You've got to get dressed! You're meeting Drew in a hour! I'm pretty sure he wont want to see you in these scabby pyjamas!" Lila gave me yet another shove to attempt to wake me. "I'm going to Kier's house today and I need to go straight after I drop you off, I have a social life too! Get up you lazy lump! Kaitin!!!"

Finally she succeeded at waking me up. Tired, I rubbed my eyes, hoping to retrieve my eyesight that I had once again lost. Then I remembered... I reached up on to my bedside cabinet and grabbed my new glasses, that I hated wearing. Drew hadn't seen with glasses before, what if he laughed at me?

They were those new nerdy ones that everyone's wearing, they looked cool on everyone else so I thought they would on me. I was wrong, so wrong. My mum refuses to take them back just because she thinks there 'cool.'

Don't you hate it when old people say things are 'cool.' It's weird... I remember when I got that new moustache jumper from Primark - before you judge, no, I'm not cheap - and my mum said it was 'awesome', that one word ruined my jumper forever, I haven't worn it since! My mum totally thinks she's 'down with the kids.' What kids? Who even says that now? My mum is so out of date!

Once I had finally got dressed; brushed my teeth; made my hair look nice-ish; ate breakfast; put my face on, I was ready! I shouted for Lila and dashed into her sleek new car. I loved her car, an Audi... It smelt new, she had only got it last week. She had made it her mission to keep it clean for at least 2 months. She's going to need some good luck! Lila is the messiest person I know, except her boyfriend (Kier.) He is ever so messy, if you had seen bis room you'd agree!

His car is decades old and because he is a football player his little silver golf is absolutely covered in smelly mud - inside and out, it's disgusting. Lila always refuses to give him rides after footie because he is always coated in grass and soil, which would obvsiously make her car filthy. Whilst in the car I played with my feet, making them dance. I pretended they professional dancers, making them prance from left to right. Lila gave me an evil glare, "You better not be making my car muddy!" Remarked Lila, nudging me and making me stop. The journey seemed a lot shorter today, I remember it taking ages the other day. Huh...

Oh well, at least I can see Drew now...

Oh Gosh, I have to see Drew now!

I sank in my chair, millions of thought rushing around in my head. I anxiously started biting my lip. "Are you ok, hunny?" Lila had a way with words, she could always get things out of me. Even if she said the most simple thing, the way she said it made me spill the beans.

"I'm nervous about meeting Drew, I was planning on asking him to become more than friends. But I'm not sure he likes me that way... I've liked him for ages and I feel like today is the day we stop becoming friends and start becoming a couple. How did Kier ask you out or you ask him? I'm not sure what to say or how to say it..." I blurted out, I wasn't even going to try to deny that nothing was up, it would be easier for both of us if I just cut to the chase.

No matter what I said she was always going to get it out of me.

"Well, that was a lot to take in at once." I gave her a nervous smile and looked away from her anxiosly. "Firstly, haha! I knew you liked Drew, take that Sophie, and secondly, awww! Um, ok, when you ask him you have to say it with passion, you know. Look him in the eyes, make eye contact. Talk about how you've been friends for a long time and that you don't want him to be a friend anymore. You want to him to be your boyfriend not best friend. Explain to him your feelings. Now, go and get him! Wow... I sounded really weird when I said that."

"But Lila, I'm rubbish at making eye contact, I find it realy awkward."

"Never mind, just go!" With a loving hug from Lila I was off, hopefully I would come back no longer a single pringle! I will have to keep my fingers crossed. I looked back at her and she gave me a thumbs up and gestured for me to go find him.
