Drew and I were supposed to be meeting outside Subway, scabby I know, but I bumped into him on the way there. Well, he was going to Subway but I had decided that I was to nervous and I had started heading back home. I pulled my hood up trying to disguise my face, I was huddling anxiously, trudging down the street in the pouring rain when we collided.

"Leaving already?" That soothing voice was unmistakeable, it was him. I looked up to see his big puppy dog eyes gleaming right back at me. He brushed his mousy brown hair away from his face, revealing a cheeky smile.

"No, I was just...." I stammered, lost for words. His smile was........ Gorgeous.........

He stood there. My ideal guy, inches away. Gingerly I took a step forward then stopped and asked myself 'What if he's not the one?' But that thought was pointless because I knew it was totally wrong. Drew Woolnough was the guy for me, I'd loved him ever since I knew him. We've been 'just friends' for years now but today that was all going to change.

I could see Drew's chocolate coloured eyes scanning my gigantic hoodie which was obviously not mine. My black, skinny jeans had started to stick to my legs and i started squirmming uncomfortably. From Drew's perspective it probably looked like I was trying to dance but I obviously wasn't, I can't dance to save my life...Water leaked into my cheep converse knock-offs. The floral print on them had started to smudge and the fabric kept on ripping. I could never afford designer brands!

"That isn't your hoodie is it? Is it your boyfriend's?" asked Drew, his face showing me he was finding the momment just as awkward as I was.

"No!! No, it's Laurence's hoodie! I couldn't find any jackets so I nicked his..." I blurted out, not wanting Drew to get the wrong idea! "Pfftt, imagine me having a boyfriend!" I muttered under my breath. "Shall we go inside? I'm getting soaked out here!" I asked, gesturing towards the door.

We ran into McDonalds eventhough we had originally planned to eat in Subway, we queued and ordered. I ordered a salad so Drew didn't think I was a pig. When we finally got to the check outs I raided my purse for a £10 and just as I was about to hand the cashier my money, Drew launched his own £10 at the cashier. After scanning the resturant for empty tables we spotted an empty table for 2 in the far corner. We rushed over, managing to get the table. As we got closer the amount of dirt and rotten food left on the table made me urge. Drew grabbed about a million napkins and started wiping the table for me.

"Aww, thanks. You know I could've done that!" I gave him a loving smile as I placed the tray of food onto the clean(er) table. McDonalds food had never been nicer! Normally I HATE McDonalds food but for once I had a pretty descent meal. It's most likely that my meals are horrible at McDonalds because I'm normally with Laurence and Lila... Lets just say it is very interesting when we go to restaurants for family meals.

"Here you go, my lady!" He beamed, pulling out my chair. My heart turned to mush.....
