She was...bored as you'd say. The lights radiated nobility throughout the room, and she was not having it. A waiter passed by the couch she was residing on and handed her a glass of champagne. The whole reason she was here was on her uncle's behalf. He had given her one job.
Slay the one known as Tom Malavolo Riddle.
The orchestra stopped playing and the rest of the party guests stopped waltzing. She put the glass to her lips and chugged its contents. Ruthlessly throwing the glass on the ground shattering it. Gasps were heard from others as the mess was stopped up by a maid.
"Good evening ladies and gentlemen!" The party host stood and welcomed the people of the highest order.
"Tonight you are dressed as an animal. Now to make this gala a bit more interesting, I shall draw 2 cards out of this bag. These two animals will have to dance together."
She scoffed, what a dumb thing to do. Her porcelain face twisted into a rigid scowl, picking at the hem of her dress.
(A/N: this is what her dress looks like.)"I have chosen! The snake and the dove shall now dance."
"So much for laying low." She muttered under her breath. Standing and gracefully strutting to the middle of the room. Many eyes following her every move. Whispers erupted from the ever so comforting silence.
"Who is she? She's beautiful. Very pretty, still a bachelorette I hope."
She held her head high as she waited for the so-called snake to reveal himself. To her Confusion the orchestra started to play once more. She looked around the room in search of answers when a pair of cold hands snaked around her waist. She jerked around and came face to face with a familiar blonde boy.
He started to waltz and she quickly followed suit, trying not to smash his feet in the process.
"We have the same hair color, kinda funny huh?" She tried making small talk but her shushed her.
"Don't speak, I know who you are."
"And your going to tell me why your here, Lydia Grindewald."
She stopped dancing and pulled away from the boy. He tried to read her eyes but all you could see was her icy blue orbs.
(A/N: Don't complain about her having 'icy blue eyes'. She's fucking Grindelwalds family. They look very much alike. Suck it up.)"Never Prince Ivan."
He glared at her before turning and stomping out of the room. The echos of his footsteps ringing in her head.
"Where is he going? You! You filthy dove, go find him or I'll cut you into bits." The king ferociously sneered, signaling Lydia to chance after the prince. She did as instructed.
. . .
The next time Lydia entered that room she carried a mangled body in her left hand, and a bloody sword in her right. The letters L.G engraved in her blade glistened under the dim candlelight. Her magic could be seen flowing around her.
The people shrieked when they saw her blood stained dress and the prince's body in her hand. The sea of people parted as she walked through, making a clear path the the throne where the king sat petrified.
She threw the body at the king's feet and lifted her blade to his throat. He looked into her now green eyes and saw nothing but malice. Then she spoke words that would be feared by all for years and years to come.
"I am Lydia Grindelwald, your country dared to defy my uncle's noble work. The next time you see day King Henry, this whole country will be in ruins."
With the flick of her wrist the king was bound in chains. He fell to the floor, twisting and wiggling trying to break free. Lydia looked around the ball room and fire laced the walls. People shrieked and panicked as they tried to keep aware from the flames. She grabbed the kings chains and in a fraction of a second, was gone.
The whole time she was blinded by her rage, the whole time a pair of chocolate brown eyes watched her ever move. Those eyes, they belonged to a very intrigued and mesmerized,
Tom Malavolo Riddle.
