Interlude

it was the same old bridge where we held hands for the first time, the same river flowing beneath our feet. it was the same clear sky, the same stars above our head.

the city lights were looking just as gorgeous as always. and I wished I never cherished the beauty of it.

the nights on the bridge, the city skyscrapers, the people walking around, I wondered when all of these became such an important part of my life.

the thin and raspy wind of November blew along. and I was all warm in his jacket wrapped around me.

I was feeling nothing, not happy nor sad,

before his voice echoed in my ear piercing through hundreds of thoughts..

"it's time to say goodbye y/n."

tears were preaking my eyes, though I smiled warmly at him.

"hmm." I nodded.

then we both stood up as he pulled me closer to his torso, wrapping his arms around my waist. I kissed his clothed chest while tightly hugging him back.

pulling back after a while we slowly walked to the railing, staring down at the cold water.

"we'll meet again, won't we?" I whispered.

"yes, we will."

the morning was near. So we decided to not delay this any more.

we leaned over,
and let our bodies fall..

into the deep, deep water.

holding hands until our very last moments.
