THE WOODEN STAKE LACED with vervain pushed further into her chest forcing Dana Salvatore to let out another groan of pain as more blood oozed out of where the wood was lodged into her chest.
The female Salvatore couldn't believe the day she was having, first her carriage broke down in the middle of a forest leaving her forced to walk through the forest and to her absolute horror she had a run in with a Vampire hunter.
Could this day get any worse?
Apparently yes.
The Vampire hunter was either drunk, foolish or he wanted Dana to suffer because instead of just shoving the Stake in her heart he laced it with vervain leaving it just inches away from her heart before leaving. Dana tried to pull out the stake but due to the vervain on the stake it... burned.
Blooded up she was leaning against a tree waiting for Death to come and open the door to peace. The brunette didn't know how much time had passed, with all the hallucinations and thoughts of death when suddenly she heard a voice speak.
A very British accent.
"Well aren't you in a predicament," Groaning Dana squinted her blue eyes to see since her vision was blurry.
Slicked back dark blonde hair, a straight nose with facial bones sharp enough to cut glass. A stubble beard graced his cheekbone and jaw, Arctic Blue eyes that contrasted with his pearl-white skin, all topped off with a well-built body and delicate yet masculine face.
Basically a Greek god stood in front of Dana at that moment.
Showing his pearly white teeth he said amused, "Hello Love." Dana just gave him a blank look before saying,"I didn't know peace offered Handsome British men."
He seemed taken aback by Dana's bluntness before he regained his composure, "I'm sorry love but you're not in peace, in fact you're not dead."
Guess Dana still had some time left. The British guy whose name Dana still didn't know opened his mouth to speak when Dana cut him off.
"Uh-huh look I know what's going to happen you're gonna ask me what I'm doing here I'll explain how I was staked by a wooden vervain laced stake by a vampire hunter and how it is inches away from my heart and I'm waiting for death and you'll say ' okay ' and move along, so let's skip to the part where you move along shall we," Dana finish as the guy looked at her amused.
Klaus Mikaelson was having a fairly normal day, until he had decided to take a walk in the forest when a Vampire hunter popped, the hunter tried to kill him only to be dead in seconds. Leaving the body he was about to go back when he heard the intake of rapid breath.
Walking a little further from where he was he saw a girl....a beautiful one, her eyes were closed and she was on the ground leaning against a tree breathing heavily, by just being in her presence he could tell that she was a vampire.
"Wait, how do you know I'm a vampire," Klaus asked with his paranoia kicking in, "You have blood on your clothes and mouth genius." The girl said unamused groaning, looking down at his clothes they did have the vampire hunter's blood.
"Why do you want to die when the world has so much to offer?" Klaus asked her curiously, "Look I am not a psycho who wants to die ok? I'm just accepting what my fate is throwing at me." Dana said as she felt the staked move a inch inside.
"Then you should learn to fight your fate to get the proper happiness you deserve," Klaus said sincerely sitting down next to her, "But what if I don't deserve happiness," Dana said frowning.
"Everybody deserves happiness now I could let you die, if that's what you want. If you really believe your existence has no meaning or I can let you in on a little secret. There is a whole world out there, waiting for you. Great places and art and music, genuine beauty. And you can have all of it. All you have to do is ask." Klaus said in a soothing manner, he could clearly tell that this girl in front of him hadn't been a vampire for long.
Dana looked right into his eyes searching for any hint of lie but she found none, looking closely she realized that his blue eyes had a hint of green in them.
" I-I want to live," Dana finally concluded, the guy smiled at her before reaching forward to the stake in her chest, eyes still locked Klaus using a cloth around the stake he slowly pulled it out, Dana let a hiss as she felt the stake move but she kept her focus on the pair of eye in front of her.
"There," He suddenly said, looking down Dana realized that the stake was gone, looking up to her savior she said in a soft voice, "Thank you" Dana was never the soft type she more rouge like her twin but some thing about the man in front of her made her say those words.
Klaus then threw the stake away before helping the brunette up, once she was on her feet Klaus leaned on the tree she was leaning against before asking, "Say love, I don't think I caught your name."
Dana rolled her eyes while dusting her gown, "I guess that's because of the fact that I didn't toss it to you." Klaus gave her a look before smirking,"Now now is that how you talk to a guy who just saved your life??"
Dana sighed, she did owe him for that one, "Dana, Dana Salvatore." Klaus blinked, not expecting her to give in so easily, "Dana." Klaus said testing her name as Dana felt shivers go down her spine.
"Since now that you know mine it is only fair that I know yours," Dana mused looking at him, Klaus chuckled before replying, "Klaus Mikaelson."
"Kla-" Dana was trying to test his name too when she suddenly felt dizzy and then her legs gave out and she was consumed by darkness. Klaus saw Dana eyes sway slightly before she fell, moving forward quickly Klaus wrapped his around her stopping her fall.
Confused, Klaus looked at her wound when he realized that her wound was not healing because of the vervain on the stake, "Well love, looks like we'll have to get you fixed." Klaus muttered, slipping his arm under Dana's waist and legs, carrying her bridal style towards his mansion.
