Akaashi POV:
"A really big guy is at the door carrying big sis, she's not moving." Y/N's little brother blurts out. That was a very poor way of phrasing that buddy. Now I sound like a creep.
I begin to explain to the middle aged woman that has a look of shock on her face that everything is alright and I simply am a friend of a friend that drove her home and she fell asleep in the car.
'Y/n's mom looks a lot like her'. I think to myself
She calms down and takes Y/n from my arms. Once she does, I quickly walk to my car, eager to escape the awkward tension. I just need to process what just happened. So I enter my car and drive home.
Y/n POV:
It's the next morning and I wake up with a pounding feeling in my head. It must've come from when I hit my head on the ground. I grab my phone from the bedside table to check the time but furrow my brows as I see 20+ notifications from Bokuto on the screen.
'Why the heck did he text me this much'
I open the messages and to sum it up it's basically him saying he misses me and wants to hangout today. I simply reply with an "Ok, where and when?" and he answers almost immediately with "Joe's Pancake House, 30 minutes."
Makes sense to get breakfast at a place that is in the middle of where we both live. But i'll have to take the train. I get out of my bed, and do my daily morning routine. I don't spend a lot of time thinking about what to wear since it's only Bokuto so I slip on some sweats and a baggy sweater.
--[45 minutes later]--
I enter the breakfast place, scanning all the booths for Bokuto when I suddenly see Akaashi. I basically internally flinched when I saw him. Why is Akaashi here? Didn't Bokuto say it was just me and him. Well now that I think about it he never specified. But it's not like i'm mad. Akaashi looks majestic.
His posture is so good as he sits in the booth. It makes me embarrassed to think about how I must look when I sit. He's wearing baggy cargos with a white tee and a flannel on top. He looks like some one you would find in a fashion magazine.
I make my way over to the booth that he's sitting at and as I'm walking I make eye contact with him. Oh my god, the things I would do for this man. I notice him look me up and down, with a glint of lust in his eyes. I can't pinpoint the exact emotion. But I can tell he has the same longing as I do for him. I swear I thought my legs were about to give out.
I reach the table and say hello. "I didn't know you were going to be here Akaashi, where is Bokuto?"
"I guess I wasn't the only one who was fooled by him, he went to the bathroom." Akaashi answers me with a firm tone. I slide in the booth on the opposite side of him, and we begin to talk about how Bokuto basically told the two of us that we were hanging out but forgetting to add that there was going to be an additional person tagging along.
I notice him hesitating to do something but i'm not exactly sure what he's attempting.
"Hey Y/n, do you think I could maybe- get your number." My face freezes with shock. But I quickly regain my composure as I think of an answer to give him.
"No." I say
"Huh?" Akaashi says, confusion imbedded in his tone.
"You heard what I said. No." I repeat my answer
I begin to see a faint pink being formed along his cheeks. He definitely isn't emotionless like the girls on my team say. "I'm not exactly sure why I want to know the answer to this question. But why no?" Akaashi speaks with a new found anxious feel in his voice.
Bokuto approaches us and sits down beside Akaashi. "So how are my two besties, what's with this tension."
