Prologue

As the world dives into new medical technology and robotics, our lives get easier. But, not all is safe as after the battle for the nuke, a gaping crater was left in its wake, and much cleanup was to be done about the radiation. Erny has not been located but she has left clues to her position...

Chapter 1

A surprisingly normal day

BEEP, BEEP, BEEP, I turned over in my bed and clicked the alarm clock, I stood up and stretched, I turned around and noticed May wasn't in the bed, I smelt the food from the kitchen and immediately knew where she was. A smile arose on my face. I got up off the bed and went to the Bathroom, I combed my hair, brushed my teeth and took a shower. I got out of the shower with a towel around my waist, I went into the room and changed into my white button down with a black tie and black pants, I grabbed my suit jacket and threw it over my back. I went down stairs and looked out to the kitchen, there I saw May, BAXTER, Noah, and our new born Sarah all sitting at the table. I threw my suit jacket over the chair and took a seat. "Good Morning dad" said BAXTER, May opened the oven and took out a fresh hot piece of bread. She layed in on the table and the kids all reached towards it "Ah Ah ahhhhh, we all need to be at the table" I said, the kids lowered their hands, May sat at the table and as soon as she touched the seat The kids all grabbed a slice, Noah had 2 slices and cut one up to give it to Sarah. We finished our meal and the kids stood up, Baxter threw on a backpack, he was 10 now and went to school, Noah was 9 and also went to school although, and Sarah, well Sarah's 8 months old she has nowhere to go. I went to the coat rack and took a sash off of it, the Sash said "MAYOR" in all caps, I put my suit jacket on and put the slash around me and grabbed my black fedora that matched my Suit off the coat rack. I grabbed a briefcase and left the house.

I looked to the right at Ethan's house and noticed he was stepping out as well, he was in a black vest with a black tie and white button down. "Mornin Sam" Ethan Cried out from across our yards. "Mornin Ethan!" I said back. I breathed a fresh breath and stepped off my property, I walked to the curb and got in my car. I drove out of my neighborhood, past Luna's bread shop, The broken down portal that was made into a memorial, past the big building that was the SPACE Z program, with Andrew Musk as CEO, Finally I pulled into city hall parking lot. I stepped out of the car and looked up to see Ethan also pull in, in the car behind him is Marshall the burly. We grouped up and walked into city hall, we went up the grand staircase and I entered my office, there was a massive stack of paper on my desk, I let out a sigh and sat on the chair and began to do my work, an hour passed and May entered the office "I dropped off the kids at school" She says, "What about Sarah, Dannielynn's out of town there nobody to watch her" I said, she reach out the door and rolled a stroller in "You brought her here?" I said.

"Where else are we gonna put her? Keep her home!?" She says grabbing the baby out of the stroller. She sat Sarah back in the stroller and rolled it to the wall.

Ethan came crashing through the door. He paused for a moment, looked at May then the stroller, then looked back at me. "Sam, you may want to see this" He says, sporting a paper, he puts the paper down on my desk, I look down at it. "When did these photos come in" I said looking up at Ethan "Our scouts brought them in a little bit ago" He says. The photo is of Erny with Brendan entering a secret lab in a cave. "You killed Brendan '' I said "I did, but he's back" Ethan says at me. "Where were these taken?" I ask "The Jungle, east of the village, near the old temple" He says. "Prepare the Military" I say

Chapter 2

Revenge for the one whos dead

"I wanna go home man" says one of the three soldiers walking through the forest. "Don't rush it, the cave's not that far from here" Ethan says "It's a Jungle it will be basically impossible to navigate" Says the second soldier. We walked through the woods and stopped three times to rest, and it took around a day to get to where we are now. We could not take a helicopter because the thick, tall trees would make the helicopter have to maneuver, the thick trees would also make it hard to land, so we had to travel on foot. The forest turned into a Jungle, a thick jungle, almost impossible to navigate, we duck under tree branches and cut through thick bushes. *Woosh* "What the frickle pickle was that?" A soldier asks. We looked around but only heard the sounds of birds followed by them flying into the sky in fear. "I don't like this one bit," Says a soldier. "We'll be fine" Ethan Says. "GAH" Yells someone behind us we turn around and a soldier is missing, We drew our weapons and aimed through the forest "The hell was that" I say "Somethings out here.... Watching us" Ethan Says. "Going somewhere?" Says a robotic like voice from the trees, we looked up and saw Brendan standing on the trees. Brendan had a medal spine and half of his head and one eye were replaced with robotic pieces. "Look what you did to me" Brendan says pointing at Ethan. "LOOK WHAT YOU'VE DONE TO ME!" He repeats again "We were fighting for the wrong side Brendan" Ethan says "That's what you think! The emperor has restored me to my full glory and better" Says brendan. "Emperor?" I say. "ENOUGH OF THIS'' Brendan Yells, He puts his hand on the half of his head that's robotic, he shoots a laser blast from his eye and lands in between us causing a fearful explosion, the two soldiers we were with are blown into pieces and are killed instantly. I draw the sword from my belt and ignite it, it turns into a laser sword. Brendan shoots another lazer shot, I block it with the sword and it bounces back impacting next to Brendan blowing up the base of the tree. Brendan front flips down and clenches his fist, a laser knife is ignited from a contraption on his wrist. The tree struck by the blast creeps forward and begins to fall "GET OUT THE WAY" Ethan yells tackling me out of the tree's path. Brendan looks up and blasts a hole his size into the tree base above himself, it falls and he is left unscaved. All of a sudden massive medal footsteps are heard and a giant two legged medal machine comes out of the forest. The massive gun on the bottom fires laser shots at us. "RUN AWAY!!" Ethan Yells running back into the forest, I follow him and a big explosion happens to the tree next to me. We run off into the woods at a mass speed. Soldiers in all white armor and one in an officer uniform approach Brendan ''Find them and their village." Brendan says "yes sir" The officer says bowing, the soldiers in white armor run off into the forest and the big two legged machine follows. Meanwhile we run as fast as we can ducking for tree branches. "I thought we were retired from this'' Ethan yells running beside me, "where the strongest in the village, and the only trained fighters, There is no retire" I yell back "Ya know the soldiers we were with had our camping supplies'' Ethan yells over to me "Yea, right" say. The jungle turns into a forest and we slow down. Ethan takes off his back pack and opens it. He takes out a massive machine, sets it down and extends a wire. I kneel down next to him and begin to spin a handle on the side of the machine, Ethan detaches a phone from it and puts it to his ear "Bravo 3! This is Bravo 1, and 2, need immediate evac" He says into the phone. "Roger that Bravo 1 Papa 1 on the way" Says Marshall over the phone. "Our quards are L12334214532, and L646272345456'' Ethan says.
