A Crush

Arizona's pov:

During the coming weeks Amelia and I grew really close. It was really nice having a supportsystem, someone who could understand and be there for you. We started hanging out outside of the classes too and also met at work where Amelia now had gotten a job. It was such a weird coincedence that she also was a doctor and even more strange, that she was Derek's sister. I was just happy to see her even more. She was like a shining ball of sunshine; with her chirpy smile and unappropriate jokes. She could always make me smile. 

At work:

There she was, standing by the counter looking at some graphs with a focused face. I walked closer as she made a huge sigh. 

"Difficult case?" I asked with a giggle.

Startled she laughed "Oh sorry didn't realize you were standing there. And no it's not the case it's this pain in my back. This damn baby is making it harder for me to concentrate." she said jokingly.

I laughed, I knew she was about one month further along in her pregnancy so she was experiencing other pain than I was. "Oh I'm sorry sweetie", I said rubbing her back. "Well how about we go to one of those massage classes then? I think they are supposed to help in releasing tension."

"You know what that sounds wonderful!" She cheered while looking at me and putting her hand on my waist. "Anyways I have to get to surgery, but send me details of when the class starts", she said as she sprinted away. 

Why did I feel so hot? I wondered. My heart is beating so fast. 

Later at lunch:

"Arizona HELLO? Are you in there?" Teddy asked loudly. 

"What, sorry" I jumped.

"What are you even thinking about? Oh wait I get it" she gasped after looking at where I had my gaze. 

"What are you talking about?" I said confidently.

"You were staring at Dr Shepherd weren't you" she giggled. "You would be cute together"

"What? No? No, I don't like, n-no. We are just friends" I claimed. 

"Arizona, please the way you look at her makes it obvious. And exhibit B look at your face, you are all flustered thinking about it."

My cheeks had grown red and warm.

"What no I can't" I was in disbelief, this could not be happening. "I knew I always found her attractive, but never thought I would catch feelings. But she's straight and I don't want to ruin our friendship. What am I supposed to do?" I whined to Teddy worriedly. 

"I don't know, maybe telling her will make things---"

"SHH" I interrupted when Amelia sat down at our table.

"Oh secrets?" Amelia frowned. "Spill".

"It's nothing really" I shrugged trying to keep a calm face.

"Come on, you can tell me. Pleaaase" she said making a pouty face.

I was about to say "that it's nothing" again when Teddy blurted it out "she has a crush". I gasped. Teddy laughed and ran out of the cafeteria before I COULD HIT HER. I was furious. I turned to look at Amelia being very interieged. 

"Sooooo, who is it, are they hot, do they work here?" she blasted me with questions. 

"Please I don't want to talk about it" I said not able to look her in the eyes.

"Ughhh fine, but please tell me one thing."

"Fine" I answered hesitantly.

"Do I know them?"

I paused. Before quietly saying "Yes."

"I'm gonna find out who it is" she laughed getting up from the table. 

"What how? Where are you going?" 

"I'm gonna do some investigation" she said kissing my cheek while giggling.

I froze by her touch. 

"Relax I have surgery" she said assuming it was because of what she said.

I tried to lighten up and smile before she rushed out the doors. What am I gonna do.
