Impmon

Shinjuku a beautiful city where everyone is at peace including some Digimon that have made the city their home. But there is one Digimon that is not 100% at peace. During all the chaos with the Digital World Impmon made a grave mistake where he made a deal with some evil Digimon and it ended up erasing the life of another and breaking a girl's heart. However one Digimon named Renamon has been there for him and helped him face his demons and eventually redeeming himself in the D-Reaper incident and after that everyone's mind was at ease and the girl Jeri forgave him for what happened to Leomon, Renamon even forgave him. But what they don't know is that forgiveness is about to be tested.

One night the twins took a trip out of toen leaving Impmon home alone. He has been haunted recently by nightmares about Leomon so he woke and went out of the house to get fresh air. What he didn't know was that he was being followed by a drone. The drone follows him to the park where he decides to relax on a tree branch. While he is relaxing 2 figures show up behind him and after making sure nobody was in the park they have the drone fire a sleep dart at him which succeeded sticking to his neck causing the imp to pull it out and examine it before falling out of the tree and on to the ground just in time to see the figures move towards him before blacking out.

A few hours later Impmon wakes up and remembers the night and realizes he's been kidnapped. Angry about it he starts to move only to find his arms and legs not moving. Confused he looks down at himself and his eyes widened in shock when he see's how high above the floor he is and looks up to see a line of rope leading down connected to more rope wrapped around his chest and shoulders and his hands are tied behind his back. He looks down again and see's more rope connecting his ankles and tail making it hard for him to move. Not knowing what else to do he tries to call for help "Mmmmph MPH?!" only to find that he has been gagged with a cloth ball stuffed in his mouth, 3 strips of duct tape sealing his mouth shut, and to add insult to injury his own bandanna has been tied OTN style double-knotted to keep it in place. Knowing he's not getting down he decides to look around. He see's that he is in some sort of room that looks abandoned and almost ruined. But what really peaked his interest was the amount of fuel canisters and barrels around and some of them are either empty or still leaking fuel. Before he could figure out what was going on, a sudden voice from an unseen loudspeaker spoke up causing him to pause.

"Hello Impmon, You don't know me but I know you I want to play a game. I have been watching you and saw everything. You were jealous that everyone around you was getting stronger and then you made a deal with an evil Digimon to assassinate the heroes in exchange for power. Well that deal ended up with the death of Leomon and breaking the heart of a little girl.  I'm not accusing you for murder I understand why you did it and you ended up redeeming yourself by trying to save that girl from the D-Reapers and her own depression. But now I think your the one that's depressed and I can tell your still haunted by your actions. The only person that I think has been their for you is Renamon. She has been their for you and you probably think she doesn't trust you after what you did. Well I am going to give Renamon a chance to prove herself to you. I'm sure you've noticed all the fuel scattered around well it's simple as soon as I turn off a oil lantern will come crashing down and setting off a fire. All Renamon has to do is save you from your peril before you are either burned to a crisp or the building your in collapses. Don't even think about digivolving or using your powers this whole building has been enchanted with a spell that will make sure you don't ruin the test. All right that is all I have to tell you so goodbye."

As soon as the voice turned off he see's something fall to the ground causing the floor to burst into flames. As soon as he see's that he starts struggling in his binds with no success he even tries to digivolve and use his flames but nothing happened. Scared for his life he can only pray that Renamon will make it to him in time.

Earlier Renamon was currently enjoying some alone time on top of Rika's roof. Lately she has been thinking about Impmon wondering how he is doing. Ever since the D-Reaper incident she has sensed some tension coming from him like he was sad. He may have been annoying and killed Leomon but she would always be there for him no matter what to help him face his inner demons. She decided to go and check on him until a voice from behind stopped her.

"Going to check on someone?" She turns around and see's a man behind her. Keeping her guard up she says "Who are you and how did you get up here?"

"Name's Victor and I was teleported here by my boss to tell you something."

"Not interested" Renamon turns around about to leave until Victor says "Okay then I guess you don't care about Impmon then." Confused Renamon turns around and asks "What are you talking about? How do you know about me and Impmon? Have you been spying on us?

Victor says "No my boss was and he saw everything from the time Guilmon appeared, to Leomon's death, to the D-Reaper incident, he saw it all. You were the only one that cared about him but the question is how much? Would you protect him with your life? Would you save him from danger? Or would you let him die?"

Not liking where this is going and realizing something Renamon asks. "What are you talking about? What have you done with Impmon? If you killed him I swear."

"Relax Impmon is fine. But what happens to him depends on you. If you want to save him all you have to do is find the building he's at. But there's a catch you are on a time limit. The building he's at is on fire and if you don't get to him in time well let's just say Impmon will learn what happens when he burns the hearts of other's."

Furious with what she just learned Renamon charges at Victor only for him to disappear . Not wanting to waste any time Renamon leaves Rika's house jumping from building to building looking for smoke. It didn't take her long to se a cloud of smoke in the distance and she starts moving towards it at a fast pace. When she gets to the source, she see's the building on fire, with dozens of fire trucks already there. Not caring about that she jumps off of the building and moves in hoping to find Impmon before the building is destroyed. She moves around looking everywhere until she makes it to the top floor and see's something that gives her hope and fear. She see's a tied up and gagged Impmon hovering from the ceiling and shouts his name causing him to look forward and see's his savior has come for him. Not wasting anytime she jumps and snatches Impmon from the ceiling and leaves the building.

As soon as she lands on the nearest building, she unties Impmon and takes his gag and asks "Are you alright?" what she didn't expect was the boy immediately hugging her and crying. startling her but then caused her to hug him back and comfort's him as if she was caring for her own child. Impmon still upset looks at her with teary eyes and says "Thank you and I'm sorry for everything I did do you forgive me?"

"Impmon we've forgiven you already. Do not worry my little Imp we are here for you always."

Renamon puts his scarf back on him, picks him up and takes him home not knowing that on another building near him Victor and his boss are watching. Victor says "Well looks like you're little test went well Bleachword. I can see why you chose them but why do you like this pair so much?"

Bleachword says "Because those 2 in my opinion are like a mother and her child. Renamon has always acted like a mother in that group especially towards Impmon. That's why I admire them so much. Although I think  it would have been better if you hadn't antagonized Renamon like that but ya know what this went well for me and that's good enough. Alright time to go."

And so the 2 men disapear from that world with Victor doing who knows what and me thinking about who I'm going after next. I hope you enjoyed this story although I didn't expect to put myself in this but overall I think I did good. See ya in the next story.
