I woke up to repeated knocking on my door.
Oh shit
I forgot to set my alarm. I checked my phone. I had eight missed calls from my dad. I ran to my door and opened it expecting my dad.
But it wasn't him.
My eyes widened as Derek stood there buttoning his shirt.
"Oh, hey," he said, "Rossi sent me to come get you. It's my day off. He sounded kinda mad."
"Yeah, he's definitely mad. I forgot to set my alarm last night." I said.
"Oh. He told me to drive you."
"What? No. I can drive myself. Thanks, though." I replied.
"If you say so." He said as he walked away.
I quickly threw on some nice clothes and brushed my teeth and hair. I put in a slick ponytail. I hurried out to my car and headed to the FBI headquarters.
My dad was not happy with me.
"What happened? I thought you were hurt." He yelled. I hated how he worried so much.
"I'm sorry. I just forgot to set an alarm."
He entered his office and sat down. Wow, he let me off easy.
I got to work. Derek wasn't gonna be here today. That's good because he distracts me. Not soon after, Emily walked up to me.
"Hey, Emily." I said with a tired tone.
"Hey. I really am sorry for embarrassing you yesterday. I didn't really think you two did anything. I was just joking around. It was a bad first impression. I hope you can truly forgive me." She said with a sorrowful voice.
"I do forgive you, Emily. You don't have to worry about it."
Emily smiled and walked off. All I could think about was Derek. He's knocked on my door twice now. Should I be worried?
I entered my dad's office and sat in the chair to talk to him.
"Dad, why did you tell Derek to drive me?" I asked.
"What are you talking about?" He looked confused.
"Derek said that you told him to drive me to work because it was his day off."
"I never said any of that. I haven't spoken to Morgan today." He replied.
What? What was Derek thinking? I stormed out of the office and to the bathroom.
I dialed Derek's number.
"Hey," I said, "why did you lie to me?"
I heard the shower running through my phone.
"I'm sorry. I guess I just wanted some time to get to know you."
I smiled. "How did you know I wasn't at work?"
"Hotch called me to ask where you were."
"Oh. Okay. Sorry to bother." I said.
"No, you didn't bother. Call me anytime." He said just before hanging up.
Could this man get any better? I don't think so.
As I was walking back to my desk, Spencer stopped me.
"Hey, Alana." He said.
"Hey, Spencer!"
"I have to tell you something, but don't tell Derek." He said.
"Okay... what is it?" I asked.
"Derek told me he really likes you."
I blushed. "Um... I don't really know what to say. Don't let my dad find out. He'd kill him."
Spencer laughed. "I won't."
When I got home that night, I made some avocado toast. I was starving.
Buzz...buzz...buzz
I picked my phone up and checked who was calling.
"Hey, Derek."
"Hey, Alana. Do you mind if I come to your place for a little bit? I'll explain there."
I didn't know what to say.
"Um... yeah.... I guess that would be fine." I said before taking a bite.
"Thank you. See you in a bit."
I hung up. Oh crap. My place wasn't so clean. I quickly cleaned up and changed from my pjs into some sweatpants and a T-shirt. That's when I heard a knock at my door.
I answered and there stood the most attractive man.
"Hey. What's the matter?" I asked.
"I'm sorry for this. It was rude."
"Oh, no! Don't worry about it. I needed some company anyways."
"Well, my AC cut off and they're fixing it now. It's so hot at my place. I was sweating like crazy."
Wow, the thought of Derek Morgan sweating was really... hot.
"Oh my gosh I'm sorry about that. I hope they will be able to fix it." I said.
"Thank you, again."
I smiled.
"Do you want anything to eat?" I asked.
"Oh, no. Thank you."
We sat on the couch and turned on a movie. The smell of his cologne made him even better. I looked at him out of the corner of my eye. He was watching the TV and smiling. His smile is to die for. I could look at him all day.
I noticed him slowly scooting over towards me. I giggled and shook my head. He looked at me.
"What's so funny?" He said while laughing.
"Oh, nothing." I said.
Gosh, I love this man.
