"I know what it means," He said.
"The only Stone currently in existence belongs to Mr. Nicholas Flamel who last year celebrated his 665th birthday. That's what fluffy guarding on the third floor that's what under the trap door. The sorcerer's stone." Hermione closed the book, then we ran to Hagrid's hut to talk to him.
"Hagrid!" Harry and I said.
"Oh hello I don't mean to be rude but it's not the time." He said closing the door.
"We know about the sorcerer's stone." We all said in unison.
"Oh." He opened the door and let us in.
"We think Snape is trying to steal it." I said.
"Snape!? Blamey you're not still on that are yah." He said.
"We know he's after the stone but we don't know why." Harry said.
"Snape is one of the teachers protecting the stone. He's not about to steal it."
"What?" Harry looked at me, I shrugged.
"You heard. Come on now I'm a bit preoccupied today."
"Wait a minute. One of the teachers?" Ron asked.
"Of course! There's other things defending the stone aren't there? Spells, enchantments." Hermione said.
"That's right. Waste of bloody time if you ask me." We looked over to see Fang trying to lick Ron. "Ain't nobody going to get past Fluffy if you ask me. Ain't a soul knows how except me and Dumbledore. I shouldn't have told you that." We started to hear rattling coming from the pot. Hagrid then pulled an egg out of it and set it on the table.
"Um Hagrid, what is that?" I asked.
"That is a-a.. its um..."
"I know what that is! But Hagrid, how did you get one?" Ron exclaimed.
"I won it off a stranger I met down at the pub. Seemed quite glad to get rid of it, matter of fact." We all backed away waiting for it to hatch. Then shells flew and out popped a dragon.
"Is that?" Malone started looking at him.
"A dragon!" I said as I put my hand out to it.
