Train Rides and Butterflys

Running, running and running. Dont stop,dont look back, dont let it get you. Chest burning from all the running but you cant stop , not for one second. It could grab you take you away, far away. No family no friends, nothing. Just,keep running.

                 Novas pov.

I woke up from the same dream, nightmare dare I say that I had been having for months. I looked out the train window and spotted 4 birds flying around, a family, chirping and seemingly playing without a care in the world. I thought about when my family was like that. Memorys of me and my dad playing in the lawn of our old house came to mind.

"Ready princess?"
My dads voice rang in my head like bells.

"Yes daddy!" 
next  the sound of my own childish laughter in my mind.

"One.......two......three, and off you go birdy"  I remember the feeling of my dad throwing me in the air, I felt like a bird flying through the sky, without a care in the world.

"Wow, you're such a gifted flyer princess"  my dad said as he caught me.

I remember seeing his smiling face as we went back inside for dinner. He always wore a smile no matter what  it didn't matter if the worst thing ever happened he always had a smile. He was the happiest man I've ever men in my life. He filled my whole house with happiness. I think that's why it became so bland at  when he died. There was nobody to dance around the house with when listening to your favorite records, nobody to chase you around pretending to be the boogie man, nobody to always wear a smile.

I sighed and closed my eyes hoping for more happy memories to come back.

Tap,tap

the sound of tapping glass. I furrowed my eyebrows and brushed it off. But there it was again

Tap,tap

I opened my eyes and looked over to the cart door. A raven haired boy slid open the door and looked at me.

"Hey, um do you mind if we sit in here every where else is full?"

I thought about it, I like being alone but I guess some company would be nice.

"Sure" I said trying to sound a casual as possible.

Four boys walked in, the ravin haired boy that had greeted me came in and sat across from me.
Next a sandy brown haired boy. He was tall, but not as tall as the first boy. He sat next to the first boy diagonal from me. Two more boys came in trying to push through the door at the same time. One tall, thin and blonde and the other only an inch or two shorter, with brown hair and glasses.The boy with crazy brown hair and glasses came if first and smoothed out his jeans and shirt before looking up at me.

He smiled awkwardly and nodded his head a little before sitting next to sandy haired boy. I kept my expression blank now regretting the choice I had made.

I looked to the blonde boy who was now in the middle of sitting next to me. One of the boys cleared his throat.

"What?" The blonde one asked looking confused.

The brunette boy with glasses looked at  him, then at me. The boy didn't seem to get the hint because he still stood there looking confused.

The boy started clearing his throat  again and started nodding his head toward me.

The sandy haired boy let out a half laugh and looked at the boy standing next to me.

"Merlin worm tail, ask the poor girl if you can sit down next to her. Dont be rude"

He looked at me.

"Oh yeah, sorry. May I sit here?"

I moved to the side and pushed my skirt under my legs inviting him to sit.

We sat in silence for what felt like hours. My hands were resting in my lap and I dozed off thinking about my father. I thought about when we were in the hospital. I stood by my father's hospital bed holding his hand, my pregnant mother sleeping on a couch against the wall.

"Princess.."

"Yes daddy" I heard my own voice crack from holding back tears

"I need to ask you something, princess." His voice sounded low and tired not his usual voice.

"What is it daddy" I felt  a wet tear  fall down my cheek.

" I need you to stay strong when I'm gone. I need you to help your mother lots with tucker to ok. And dont you ever doubt yourself for a second ok ?"

"Absolutely" more tears feel.

He smiled and handed me his watch.

"One more thing princess" he put his hand on  my cheek and wiped away my tears

"I love you"

"I love you to daddy" I bent down and kissed him on the forehead. At that moment I heard a loud beep and-

"Hey, hey are you alright?"

I looked up and saw everyones concerned faces.

"Huh? Yeah I- I'm fine." I let out a fake smile as I wiped a tear from my cheek. I didn't even realize I had almost started crying. 

Every brushed it off except the sandy haired boy. He had one elbow on his leg and his head in his palm.

I looked at him and we made eye contact. He smiled slightly. I didn't know what to do. Out of my 5 years of going to Hogwarts so far I had barely talked to or looked at anyone other than in classes.

I looked away and reached for a book from my bag. I didn't know what book I  grabbed, I just flipped to a random page and pretend to read it to get out of that awkward position.

I felt the book move in my hands like someone pushed down on it. I looked up and saw the same boy looking at me.

"Chocolate?" He said as he held out and candy bar.

I closed my book and put it in my lap. I looked at him and then his reached out hand.

"Sorry, I dont accept candy from strangers."

His friends laughed and so did he before he realized I was  being Sirius.

He smiled and put the chocolate bar down next to him.

"Well," he put his hand out.

"I'm Remus Lupin, nice to meet you"

All the boys were looking at us. I bit the inside of my cheek and took a deep breath.

"Nova London, nice to meet you to."

It went painfully silent as the rest of the boys started started at us.

I put my hand in his for a awkward hand shake that lasted a little to long. I finally took my hand back and put it in my lap. His skin was soft, and warm it felt quite nice to be honest.

Thinking about it gave me a feeling in my stomach. Something I had never felt before. Butterfly's?

Remus tapped his foot on the ground a few times.He scratched
The back of his head and with his other hand held out the chocolate again.

"Chocolate anyone?" All the boys reached in and grabbed a pice. He looked at me and put the bar out further in my direction.

"Dont be shy, we aren't strangers anymore."

I laughed a little and looked up  Remus had a  confused look on his face.

"That's not exactly how it works but thanks" I smiled and reached for the bar, I broke off a pice and put if in my mouth as I sat back.

Time had flown by for now it was dark outside. I looked at the watch around my wrist.

6:30. Soon we would arrive at Hogwarts.
