Narrator's POV :

6:03 am. The alarm clock kept beeping. Again. Again. More beeping. Will it stop? It keeps beeping. Maybe this is some sort of challenge you're supposed to overcom-

smash

The beeping stopped. You open up your eyes to find your arm on top of smashed bits and pieces of what used to be an alarm clock. Groaning, you rub your eyes, yawn and make way to your bathroom to get ready for the day.

Suddenly, you clutch your hair, desperately, trying to get rid of the flashbacks. Too much. Too much red. Make it stop. It hurts. You don't want to do this anymore. It's the past. Please let me go.

You un-clutch your hair as if nothing happened, and started brushing your teeth. You didn't dare look at the bathroom mirror. When you finished getting refreshed, you start to look in your closet for the uniform. New beginning, eh? You pull out the uniform, all neat and pressed. Getting changed quickly, you looked at the time.

6:38 am. You needed to hurry up. Quickly pulling your hair in a messy bun, you make way downstairs to eat breakfast. The maid was making scrambled eggs, toast and tea. Not wanting to eat eggs again, you just ate some cereal. The eggs were never good.

Putting on your socks and shoes, plugging in your earphones, you start making your way to your new school. Don't worry about it, it's too overhyped and filled with a bunch of snobs. If you had any other option, you wouldn't even imagine going to this school. The only reason you're even going is because of a "promise". Could you imagine going to the all prestigious UA?

As you start making your way downtown, the school appears in sight. You physically cringe upon seeing it and the students rushing in. You never understood it. Entering the school, you go and try to find the principal's office. You thought it was a literal mouse at first, but it can speak and sounds more like a bear. It's confusing.

"You're here. I've been awaiting your arrival. You'll make a wonderful student and forget your past of-" "Cut the crap and give me what I'm here for." You interrupted the mouse(?) as soon as he started speaking. You really couldn't care less about all the formalities.

"Ah yes of course." the mouse says, handing you a piece of paper, along with some sort of.... handcuffs? You start to make a face, but upon closer inspection, you realize they're actually bracelets. "These bracelets will help you to control your... powers, per se. This is a friendly and safe learning community. Can't have that disrupted, now can we?"

You scoff and wear the bracelets. You couldn't have this day over with. It was tiring already.

Exiting the room, you look at the piece of paper and try finding your class. After many twists and turns of these long school hallways, you give up. You find the nearest person, who appeared to have a lot of purple hair for some reason. You asked about the whereabouts of your class and how to get there. The purple-haired seemed tired as well, but he was nice about it and helped you with directions. You muttered a small 'thank you' and were on your way.

That seemed enough socializing, right...?

After (what it seemed to be like) years of walking and walking, a sign atop a door comes into view. "1-A". There's your class. Trying to push back the memories that kept creeping through, you took a deep breath and entered a room full of aspiring heroes-in-training.
