"James? What are you doing here?" I asked in utter shock. I didn't expect him to be here, especially after three weeks.
"Well I came to see how you was doing, I would of came earlier. But my mom found out I battered the shit out Ryan and I was grounded" he says shifting from foot to foot, now inside of the room.
"Oh okay well take a seat" I suggest a seat with my arm and he twists the chair so the front of his body is pressed against the back of the chair with his legs either side of it, in a straddle stance.
He runs his fingers through his perfectly sculpted hair and I notice Jake shoot him a questioning look to which James just shakes his head at nods his head towards the door.
"Does anyone want anything? I'm going down to the shop next to Starbucks" he asks us and I ask for a bottle of water and everyone else asks for a bottle of coke.
"I'll come help you" James says and stands up and heads out the door with Jake in tow.
Jake's POV
After we was outside the door and out of ear shot I admittedly confronted James "what actually happened?, I've known you since the start of school so don't even try and bullshit me Graham"
James looked a bit taken back but sighed frustratedly and ran his fingers through his hair.
"It's just- she is- ugh I don't know" he says and kicks his foot against the metal chair in the hallway.
"Look what I'm about to tell yourself you can't tell anyone especially Brooklyn." he tells me in a low hush.
"I won't I swear"
