Izuku looked up at his alarm, his once an AllMight themed alarm clock, which now looked like All Might having a battle with a villain with a red tangly mutating quirk.
He stepped off the bed and went straight to the door, yawning along the way.
As he opened the door he tripped on an uh well something.
He honestly couldn't tell anymore.
He just wanted to tie the strings up so they didn't get in the way but this was stupid.
He had so many strings! He hated it!
So far he had much more than anyone he had ever seen!
It also bothered him that he couldn't even move them! He could touch them though, their texture was like cool glass.
He liked touching them but moving them to a straight line was basically impossible.
The strings were just odd they would just well.
No. 1) The strings could go through people.
They would just phase people through crowds, making people a little bit transparent or glow way brighter than before. He wasn't sure.
No. 2) They don't pass buildings.
They make a sort of route through the building almost like a map.
Back then he didn't know strings were uncommon or nonexistent. So he would always be confused when his mom said that they had to stick together because he would get lost but he somehow always remembered which string was his mom's so he would always find a way back.
No. 3) Friends and family have strings too!
Strings are not just romantic interests, they're more like relationships to be made or relationships already made.
No. 4) They're all in different colors of red.
Midoriya could easily see the (what he named) basic red. It was matte red not to a scary blood crimson but like a crayon red.
He theorized that they were matte because they were in the "stranger" status in the spectrum of relationships.
There would always be different shades of matte crayon red but it was the most distinctive out of the other glossy glass strings.
No. 5) Strings can break and they hurt.
Strings can break if a person truly and only truly hates you and they have absolutely nothing positive to note above you.
It happened once, he was announced Quirkless. And it all went to hell there.
Kacchan broke the string. His string with Kacchan was shattered with a loud explosion making his ears bleed.
He passed out that day.
And last but not least.
No. 6) String can repair.
After he woke up and stared at the blank white ceiling greeting his newfound consciousness.
Then he looked at the crying Kacchan at his right. Sitting on Aunt Mitsuki's lap while she silently comforted him.
His and Kacchan's string was both crimson red at that point.
And that concluded the last of his findings.
He sighed as he got off the shower and to his bedroom.
He looked to open his closet and flinched as he saw his mirror. It was uncovered!
