For my Omega-verse I will be using the following (keep in mind that some of this stuff I may have added or embellished to fit my universe):

For my omega-verse I'm taking a bit of inspiration from Wolf Shifter books. Soulmates in this story will be similar to mates in those. Wont be exactly the same tho.

Ranks- Omega, Alpha, Beta
Rutting and Heats

Marking and Scent Glands and Omega Nesting
Babies will be called as such or pups. No tails or ears but canines will enlarge when mating.

Marking-
The act of bite the scent gland while mating and then biting your lip our tongue to lick the blood into the wound as the saliva seals the wound. In this their saliva can heal minor wounds quickly. Mostly mating notes and marking bites.

Ranks/Secondary Genders(This is how it all works in this universe)-

Alphas:
In this world Alphas can mate/breed with other alphas; aka alpha women can get pregnant; but ONLY by other Alpha's. Alphas are usually looking for Beta or Omega mates but with the soul mark au thrown in, anyone can be their mate, also some alphas mate other alpha to create dominant alpha pups. Alphas pheromones can be overwhelming depending on their rank and heritage. Some alpha pheromones can be very dominant and strong while others might be more subtle and weak, those who have the subtler scent are usually from Alpha/Beta pairings. Alpha/Alpha pairings usually produce dominant alphas. While Alpha/Omega pairings usually produce either an dominate or submissive alpha or a omega, once in a while a beta is thrown in, it's usually a recessive gene. Alphas are usually tall, well defined and strong. The male Alphas are usually very strong and muscled. Even if they are not muscled they will be broad in shoulder and arms. The female Alphas are either muscled or very curvy and voluptuous, as they are tall and curvy they are usually very strong, just as strong if not stronger than their male counterparts. Alphas are usually louder, more aggressive and easier to anger. Not all are like this but it not uncommon. They always want to be the strongest one in the room. So families full of Alphas are turbulent to say the least.

Betas:
They don't react to pheromones and can withstand/handing being around an omega in heat. They get regular ovulation cycles if they are female and have regular reproductive organs if they are male. No knotting or heats for them. They still mark their mates and are protective over their mates and young. They are just closer to "normal humans" in a sense. Betas most commonly mate with other Betas as they are usually the best parings for them but Alpha/Beta pairings are common. They may not be effected by pheromones but they do smell them, not the same way that Alpha or Omegas do but its more like a musk/natural body odor/scent. Betas are usually leaner and not tall or short. They can be tall or short but usually are average. They can be pretty much any body type. Since they don't smell or emit pheromones they don't care much to dominate anyone or submit. They just live normally.

Omegas:
Omega males can ONLY impregnate other omegas, but they usually don't as their sperm isn't very fertile. They are however more fertile when it comes to their womb. They usually only get pregnant during heat/rutting though and many male omegas suffer with infertility on a general scale. Female omegas however are very fertile and have a 100% conception rate during heat/rutting. Male carry their young and usually have to give birth via c-section. They however can produce breast milk but not all do. During Omega/Omega pairings either one can be the dominate/top of the relationship as they rank the same pheromone wise. However dominant Omegas do rank higher than regular omegas. Dormant male omegas are very rare and have a higher fertility rate then usual male omegas. Female omegas can also be dominant and usually have many children as they are EXTREMELY fertile. Omegas are usually short in stature and either slim or curvy. The Male Omegas can be muscled but are usually a slender muscle with some extra body fat around their hips and ass. The females on the other hands are usually curvy, with big hips, thighs and ass. Omega women are known for being very submissive and soft spoken.
