"Bye, Diddy, I had a wonderful time! Tell DK that I enjoyed the visit!", Dixie said and went home while her boyfriend waved at her and went home by himself. While DK and the family were nice and all, she just needed some time for herself. So when she arrived back home, she decided to eat something and go to bed directly after.
While she ate some bananas she heard a weird scratching noise from the ceiling. Perplexed, Dixie looked up and listened again, but everything was silent. She shrugged it off and continued to eat her bananas. After she was finished she inspected her own small banana-storage just to see if something changed while she was away. She didn't think that this was the case, because the Kremlings haven't touched the island for a long time, but DK told everyone to check their bananas every day to "make sure nothing goes wrong". She chuckled for a bit. DK was very paranoid sometimes!
After looking for her bananas it was really late so Dixie went to bed. But after she fell asleep, the noise came back! But Dixie was to tired to hear it. The scratching changed location and was soon relaced by a faint rustling. Soon after it was completely silent again. And it stayed this way.
When Dixie woke up, it was already noon. She decided to get up and eat something before thinking about what to do today. But when she went to her bananas to get some, she realised in horror that they were gone! Every single one! She rubbed her eyes and looked again. But nothing changed: the bananas were gone. Horrified, she turned around to look for any clue of who could have stolen them, and found a single banana lying near the staircase that lead to her attic.
She immediatly went there and picked it up. "Now, little one. Where are your friends?", she asked the banana, but for some reason it didn't answer. "Well, then I'm going to have to find them by myself."
She looked everywhere for stray bananas, but she could find any that belonged to her. She even went to the other Kongs and asked them about any bananas that weren't theirs, but noone could help her. Funky went to the Kremlings as an ambassador, but they told him that their King was currently sick so they had to care for him, and according to Funky, it was very hard to miss that K. Rool was indeed not in the mood to plan a robbery nor steal bananas.
It was a big mystery to every single Kong, not even Cranky knew an answer or pretended to do so. DK ended up sharing some bananas from the hoard with Dixie so she could eat. Confused and angry Dixie returned home and decided to put a lock onto her storage to prevent the thief from stealing her bananas again. Worried, she went to sleep earlier today.
When the moon stood high at the sky, the ominous noises returned, but once again, Dixie couldn't hear them and continued to sleep deeply. The source of the noises went the same way as yesterday, and would cause a bad awakening tomorrow... but the sudden steps Dixie made scared them and they decided to run, losing bananas while doing so.
When Dixie woke up from strange noises, she immediatly ran to her storage, only to see that the thief broke in again and even managed to destroy the lock! Of course everything was missing, but this time, it seemed like the thief was in a hurry, because bananas lied everywhere on the floor and lead to the attic. With a slight amount of fear, Dixie decided to look there before alarming the Kongs once again.
The attic was dark, and she could barely see anything. The line of bananas lead towards a pile of old tires and some old banana-coins. She was a bit afraid of whatever lurked in this room, and decided to decrease hear fear by calling out to the thief. "You! I know you're here! Come out and give those bananas back and I'm maybe going to spare you! You heard me? Come out and show yourself!". She listened. Some noises came from the old DK-Barrel! Trying to sound confident, she yelled: "I know you're there! Come out already!" She then tackled the barrel with all her force, which made it shatter into pieces. Bananas flew out of the old barrel and rained down.
After getting up from the floor, Dixie looked into a huge pile of bananas, and almost got a heart attack.
