I would recommend listening to this while reading, and yes, this was the inspiration for this story. (also don't mind how bad it is, I wrote this like a year ago I swear I have improved since then)
Sitting on the top of the hill with the wind making her hair dance freely, she sees her friends beneath her. As she stands up she smiles and begins to run down the hill
She used to be so lonely. she never saw colors. everything was so dark
She meets them at the bottom, though she never stops running, as she passes them with a smile on her face they follow her. Was it the warm sun, or the gentle breeze, no one would know but everything was fine. It was always so cold. And silent, not even her own heart beating made a noise... then again if it did, she would have stopped it. Everyone was laughing, playing, smiling, the wind made the flowers dance and the sun made the birds sing. Exhausted she falls onto a flower bed and takes in a deep breath, happy to be there, to be living, with her friends
"What were you thinking about?" One of the boy's ask as he lays down next to her
She smiles and closes her eyes as the rest of them catch up and sit or lay down in the flowers. One of them puts their hand up as a bird fly's near them and lands on the girl's hand
" Nothing" she simply replies 'Forget the past and move on. the past, for me at least, is nothing'
She watched as everyone around her left or died, because of her, she was left alone, an orphan. No friends. No family. And no home. Everything lost meaning, she saw no colors, she never felt warm, or cold, she couldn't even feel her own heartbeat, she never heard the birds singing, or the rain, for so Long she only ever had known pain, but even that too left her and she was left with nothing, wandering a pointless world, void of any meaning but then she saw a flower and with that, she saw colors, felt warmth, compassion, she was never alone again.. She will always remember the hand that gave her that flower.. Sadly she never saw their face, for as soon as they were there they had left her, with a gift. The gift of being able to live her life, not long after she found them, or they found her, they don't really know, but she was never alone again
