How Do You Make Healthy Choices?

Every packaged food you see, food labels are everywhere! You might wonder, "Well, why are they there, and why are they so important?" I've got just the answer, just take a step in and let me tell you all the secrets. This information provided by the food labels can be used to know how many bad things are in the food along with how many good things are in the food. So when you eat bread, you can look at the packaging, and know if there is a lot of salt or sugar in that bread. You can also check out the serving size, because if you eat too much of that food, you're going to take up too many calories and gain weight. Overtime, you're going to be obese and probably die from cancer or a disease. Labels usually say if there is artificial flavouring or coloring in that food. Artificial things usually aren't good for you, so that's another thing to add to the con list. There might be things that can make you allergic, so the food labels give you a warning that if you eat this food, you might get a bit itchy and have some red bumps but they soon dissipate and you continue with your normal life, or end up with a huge reaction and end up in the hospital for a few months. You could also compare two different foods more easily. For example, imagine there were two bags of fruit juice. One has 400 calories and the other has 254 calories. Seems pretty easy right? You just take the one with 254 calories. But wait, the one with 254 calories has 30 grams of sugar and the 400 calories one only has 10! The one with 254 calories also has artificial sweeteners while the other doesn't! Well, that's time to switch. It's not always about the calories, it's the serving size. This is why food labels are SO important, and why every packaged food needs to have them.
