I've always wanted my own story. One of those stories that are full of adventure and mystery and I guess you could say I've had that life compared to others, my mother died when I was 12, my dad is an abusive alcoholic and I'm just a regular college student trying to live my life.

I can understand where people may see the ways I have a crazy life but this has been normal to me since I was young, even when—

"Aralia, you're break has been over for 5 minutes cmon let's go" Mitch walked over to pull me back into reality of the job I was currently supposed to be doing while I got carried away writing in my journal.

"There's customers up at the front so can you work the counter while I make the coffees please" he looked at me with those puppy dog brown eyes. "Mitch you can't avoid being at the front counter forever you know you're going to have to do it at some point." Mitch was always shy ever since I met him when I started working at Beachwood Cafe, a year ago.

"Alright I know I can't but just go they're quite a bit of people up there" Mitch pleaded to me before walking back to the espresso machine. "Every time huh" I whispered under my breath walking to the front.

As I made my way up to the register I realized there in fact quite a few people in this small cafe. "Hi I've been waiting for around 3 minutes now for someone to take my order I am in a rush could you hurry please" the woman at the front with her small child by her side demanded as I input my pin to the register to take her order. "Yes ma'am I am sorry about that what can I get for you" as I withheld the urge to roll my eyes at this women in front of me. "I'll take a medium black coffee and a banana nut muffin" she placed her order pulling out cash from her wallet. "Alright that will be 5.76 please." She paid for her order and I worked my way through the people taking orders and sending them to Mitch.

Once the last person ordered I let out a breath of relief that I had made it through dealing with customers without going crazy. However, I wasn't quite done yet as I was about to walk away from the counter 3 boys had just walked in laughing quite loudly and conversing with one another.

They all looked quite intimidating all of them seemed to have tattoos and were all quite attractive even though I had a boyfriend I could still appreciate attractive people. "You wanna pick your jaw off the floor and stop staring before they see you and think you're creepy" Mitch suddenly whispered behind me into my ear. "Jesus are you trying to give me a heart attack or some shit" I scolded him after he scared me. "I mean I'm not Jesus but I'll take the compliment hun" he winked at me walking away.

I turned around to take the intimidating boys' order only to realize they were watching me and Mitch's whole interaction with humors eyes. "Hi there what can I get you guys to start off with" I asked as my cheeks heated up from embarrassment. "Yea I'll take a vanilla latte with a shot of that caramel creamer please" the boy with long hair and green eyes spoke and I was stunned by his accent not expecting it at all. "Alright and for the rest of you" I looked at the other boys as they all placed their orders but felt a weird feeling that the long haired boy was analyzing me while they ordered.

Looking at these boys and seeing the way they each looked like they were totally different as the blonde messed around with the complimentary mints we had at the front counter. While the dark haired boy seemed to be enticed in whatever was on his phone he had quite a sharp jawline and a very large wing I just noticed on his neck. But the green eyed boy was staring at me with furrowed eyebrows like he was trying to figure something out and it looked like he was hurting his brain with how hard he was star-

"Uh hey yea what's our total" the blonde had asked as I realized I got lost in my thoughts. "Oh right sorry the total comes out to 19.53" I looked up from the till to see a 100 dollar bill in one of their hands. Seeing it was the long haired boy who handed it to me. "Okay you're change is-" I began. "Keep the change" he said looking into my eyes. "O-okay thank you" I stuttered from his intimidating stare.

I turn to see Mitch staring at me with wide eyes seeing the hundred dollar bill that is in my hand. I put the money into the till and went to make the drinks they had ordered. After making the drinks I carried them over to their table and set them down for them while they were mid conversation about something random.

"Aralia would you mind bringing me the sugar please" the dark haired boy asked me. "Sure no problem, wait how do you know my name" I asked. "It's on your name tag is it not" he stated like I was stupid. "Oh right yea here you go" I said as I handed him the sugar. "Thank you" he said with a smirk. "Yea no problem of course" I replied backing away from the table just to hear the bell to the door ring.

"Hello welcome to Beachwood what can I get for- oh Zach hi" I was surprised to see Zach here while I was working. "Hello darling how are you doing" he asked as he leaned down to peck my lips. "Good, what are you doing here" I replied asking him. "I just wanted to come see you and wait until you got off so we could go to dinner tonight" he told me with a bright smile. "Okay we close in about 2 hours so when we close I'll clean up with Mitch and we can go to dinner" I told him as I returned to the counter to continue working. "Alright sounds good babe."
