"Izobelle? Izobelle?!"
A voice pulled me out of my reading and as I looked up I saw that it was my hysterical mom.

"What do you want?" I said with tired eyes looking up at her. My mom always had something to freak out about that wasn't even a problem.

"Don't talk to me like that, I have news" she said with an awfully excited tone in her voice, I really didn't have time for this today, nor the energy.

"Yay" i got out and tried to look just a little bit excited tho I really didn't care. Don't get me wrong, I love my mom (kinda) but she is the complete opposite of me. I really hate being so princess like, wearing dresses and trying to attract princes' from other kingdoms, juck.

My mom on the other hand, loved dressing me up and present me to other kingdoms. I guess she's just living out the life she never had.

"Can you at least try to sound excited?" She said dragging me up from my bed which I sat very comfortable on.

"I have set up a marriage for you with...the prince of The East Kingdom"
She looked at me with an excited face trying to read my reaction.

My face suddenly grew numb and I could feel steaming anger floating up in me. If I could, I would punch her in the face. Hard. But I was "a lady" and that would be very inappropriate. Tho I would really enjoy it.

"Have you lost your mind?!" I screamed not knowing what to do with the anger building up in me.
"I'm not marrying anyone" I screamed once again walking past her and toward the door when I felt her hand gripping mine.

"Izobelle Hadings, you are marrying the prince of The East and that's final" She said with anger in her eyes. My mom seemed like this wonderful caring mom but she was real scary when she got mad. That didn't affect me tho, I was exactly the same when it got to getting what I want.

"Let go of me" I said looking her straight in the eyes before I rushed out of my room and down the hall, I needed to get my mind clear and take control of my feelings.
As I walked down the hall I could hear footsteps behind me and I let out a heavy breath

"Mom, really now. Leave me alone for just a mi-" I said and turned around to find a guard standing just a meter away from me. Was he new? Cause I hadn't seen him before. He was young to, just like me.

I realised that I had been standing like an idiot just looking at him for twenty seconds straight.

"Did I get you all quiet?" He said with a smirk and I could feel my cheeks heat up all red.

"N...no" I said and crossed my arms over my chest.
"Since when do you work hear? Aren't you a little to you to be a guard at the castle?" I tried sounding cocky but that didn't work at all.

"I started yesterday, I guess I'm just born talented"
He let out taking a few steps towards me and I took a few away"

To my surprise, he held out his hand and smiled at me.
"Mateo" he said looking down at me, I now realised how much taller he was and I tried to stand on my toes to look a little more intimidating but that just made him let out a laugh.

"I really don't care" I said and that was really true, scary true. I then turned around to make my way out of the castle. My day was already really bad and I didn't need an arrogant guard to make it worse.
