Alterror

I was starting to get nervous as the adults continued to walk over to me. The power i felt as they walked over was off the charts, its like they were marching into a fight and i was the enemy. They finally reached me and when they did all they did was whisper among themselves until an muscular old man carrying a sword on his back spoke "SILENCE... I'm sorry for all the commotion with the teachers they are just a little on edge with the fact that i brought somebody in from outside the shield, now may i please ask you your name" "Alera... alera stone sir" "well alera I'm headmaster hogan and i run this fine institute" "nice to meet you headmaster hogan, if i can ask were am i?" "Well Alera where do you think you are?" "In America sir in the town of Townsville" "on Earth correct" "yes but this institute isn't in my home town so where am i?" "Well Alera you are no longer in the Earth dimension you are in a different one where magic exists" "WHAT but that's impossible i..I'm on the planet Earth in the American town Townsville not some different dimension where magic exist........am i?" "I know this might be difficult to wrap your head around but i need you to calm down, i can try and help you get home.ok" "o-ok" i answered and as he was about to respond a skinny looking woman wearing clothes that look like what a witch would wear spoke up "but headmaster she has elvien ears she can't be from the other dimension and i can feel magic energy coming from her". This started the commotion up again as all the adults in front of me were talking and whispering to each other until ,again, headmaster hogan spoke up "ENOUGH". The room went silent "i will get to the bottom of this i promise but until then Alera will join us as if she was one of our students. Now if You don't mind me i will be taking her to my office whilst the rest of you get back to teaching your classes and madam Helen please go heal mr Kingsley. Now if you could can you follow me please Alera" "yes sir". I got up and started to follow mr hogans.

We reached to top of the tallest tower at the institute and stopped in front of a door which opened up to a beautifully decorated office with a fire place and paintings everywhere. On the door it read headmaster, so I'm guessing this is headmaster hogans office. We walked inside and he asked me to have a seat so he could explain to me what Alterror was and the history so i have a better understanding before i start at the institute. "Now Alera i understand that you are from Earth but is there a possibility that one of your parents is from Alterror" "no sir and if so they never told me" "ah ok well Alera do you want me to give you a brief history lesson about Alterror then" "if it helps me while I'm going to the institute then yes please sir" "well lest get started shall we. Alterror was founded over a thousand years ago by the royal family's first rulers, over time they started to build everything up and then announced 10 years later that the kingdoms main city had been finished being built fast forward to 100 years later the first war happened between the elvien folk so my folk, the fairy's and the shadows, the war started because the elvien s wanted to keep the throne but the fairy's and shadows wanted to take the throne for themselves so they could run Alterror. About 15 years later the fairy's and elvien s called a truce and made a alliance the war was over for them, but up until now the shadows still have goal in life and that's to take the throne any shadows who follow their prince have been exiled from the kingdom and those who don't care are allowed to stay within the walls. 16 years ago the princess of Alterror was kidnapped by the shadows and no one has seen her since, her pedants spent 6 years trying to find her but they never did this made the already ongoing war with shadows even more tense and its has been the royal guards job to find the shadow prince and find the princess if she is still alive and that sums up Alterrors history. Is there anything else you would like to know" "wow that's a lot and...no I don't think there is anything i don't understand" "good now lets get you sorted into your subjects"

Headmaster hogan explained that the magic system they use to give students their subjects is always correct so they never question it. It also reveals your grades in that subject z being the highest and f the lowest. The way you get sorted is you lay down and the headmaster says an enchant, the spell will then take place by "reading" your future and then it will put onto a piece of paper and those are you subjects for the year, he also explained that once you are in that subject you can never try and swap it for something else. "Now I'm about to cast the spell are you ready Alera?" "Ready as i will ever be i guess". He started to speak in a language, that i could somehow understand. After finishing the chant a piece of paper flew into the air and a quill followed, it was about to wright my subjects down for the year and I can't say I wasn't nervous because i was. There was one class called combat and i was really hoping I wasn't in it but at the same time i was hoping i was in it, all the other subjects i had never heard of before except for some that we have back on Earth. Finally the quill stoped righting and my subjects had been decided.

Headmaster hogan picked up the piece of paper and read my subjects and grades until a look of shock ran across his face and that's when he gave me my subjects. The piece of paper read:

Weapons. Z
Equestrian A
Magic's. B
Potions. B
History. C
Art. A
Music. A
Elvien language study. Z

I was shocked to see that i was a z in both combat and weapons and scared...but kind of excited.
"Sir how rare is it to get z?" "Very rare in fact you are our very first girl to get a z in both combat and weapons" "i..i am but then how many z are there in the school?" "3-4 including you" "wow. Is there anything else i will need?" "Yes Alera you will need your dorm key" he walks over to his desk and opens a draw and a grabs a key out of it "here is your dorm key now i will show you the way there and then i will get one of your roommates to give you a tour of the school now if you will just follow me". We began walking down the stairs and to the dorms where headmaster hogan would show me to my new bedroom for the next year or until I find a way back home.
