-Megumi is not that affectionate, but he appreciates that you are
-It is definitely something that he had to get used to. Not because he did not enjoy your affection, but because it surprised him
-Hugs, cuddling, holding hands, it was all something very new to him
-Even though Megumi does not show it that much or says that he enjoys your affection, he does. He often smiles to himself when you aren't looking, and on rare occasions you get him to say that he likes it
-It's extremely rare that he asks for hugs or kisses. Most of the time he doesn't even say it directly, but only tells you to "bend down a little", just to plant a kiss on your lips
»Bonus: Megumi could already hear you sneak up to him but he chose not to turn around, not wanting to ruin your feeling of victory when you 'surprised' him with a hug from behind. He felt your arms wrap around his torso, the front of your body warm against his back.
"Hey Megumi."
"Hey." His voice sounded a bit too disinterested, even for his own liking, but a smile was on his lips. Megumi allowed himself to lean into your touch a bit more in order to make up for his tone.
The two of you stood there for a while, in a comfortable silence, simply enjoying each other's company. Megumi always tried to savour moments like this, since his life had been everything but calm and relaxed lately.
"I love you," you mumbled into his ear after a while. It still surprised Megumi to hear those words and he felt a blush painting his cheeks and ears red, so he averted his face a bit. His hands wandered up to where yours were resting on his abdomen and he loosened your grip, allowing himself to turn around.
He did not really want you to see him blush but that was inevitable now.
"Bend down a little," he told you and you did as you were told. Instead of kissing you instantly, like he usually did, Megumi leaned towards your ear first.
"I love you too," he whispered before pressing a kiss to your lips.
