"We've had fifteen calls in the past hour. I got a suicidal deer and, birds flying through windows", Stiles says frustratedly.

We were at the animal clinic talking to Dr.Deaton. Both,my brother and I work part time here and recently we found out that Dr. Deaton knows about me, Scott and Derek being werewolves. Actually he's the one who helps us control our urge to shift. His office is lined with mountain ash to protect all humans inside from werewolves.

"And I got pets behaving aggressively... I gotta tell you, I'm starting to think there's something in the water.", I sigh

"To be honest, I was gonna give you a call about an incident of my own.", Dr. Deaton says in a serious tone.

"What happened?", I ask.

"At first, I thought I might have had a break-in-- some sick individual looking to release a particularly violent impulse-- until I got a closer look and realized what actually happened.", he says leading us to the 'Cat Clinic'.

"They did it to themselves.", I say as we survey the horrifying scene of dead cats everywhere.

"Now will you come with me to Derek's.", Stiles asks as we get ready to leave.

"No, I'm going to Allison's. I can't deal with this right now. Sorry.", I say as i grab my coat.

"Fine. It was worth a shot.", he mumbles.

"Bye. I'll see you later."

"Bye."

I was heading over to Allison's for the day. But on the street, I saw someone I wasn't expecting to see.
"Nice to see you here", Aiden says. I found out his name a while ago.

"Yeah, well. I pass this street everyday so you being here is a surprise."

"Look, do you hate me.",he asks walking along with me.

" I don't judge people, not that fast anyway. But, I guess for some reason I have a nagging feeling that you're genuinely nice."

"Thank you...?", he says, confused.

"So, um are you stalking me? Or did you just happen to be on the street no one ever passes through after the murders that happened here?"

"I wasn't stalking you. I was walking by. But, you can say I was hoping on running into you.", he defends himself.

"Wow! You are like the one person who cracks me up.", I say as I keep walking.

"And you are like the one person who I find cute who doesn't have a filter.", he says and I feel myself reddening.

"Well, that's me. I'm not sickly sweet or rude and mean. I'm right there in the middle.", I say.

"So you're trying to tell me you're perfect, huh?", he smirks.

"Basically, yeah.", I turn around and say.

"Well you really are.", he mumbles.

"I heard that."

Aiden and I talked for a long time. We really have a lot in common and he's a really good friend.

"So, tomorrow we're back to square one and you'll forget everything I just said.", he says.

"Not really. I don't think I'm gonna forget you either so..."

"Friends?", he asks.

"I think I'll take you up on that offer. Or unless you were just using me. Which I'm pretty sure you am so might as well enjoy the ride."

With that I headed over to Allison's.

"Where the hell were you??", Allison asks the moment I reach her house.

"Give me a minute. I just got here."

"Janine, thank god you're here. Where were you? Why were you late? Were you with someone? How did you come here late by walking when it's only 3 miles? What were you doing? Are you dating someone?", Lydia bombarded me with questions.

"I was with Aiden.", I muttered.

"YOU WERE WHATTT??!?!?", they both yelled at the same time.

"Look he's a nice person. We were just talking anyway. Nothing happened. NOTHING."

"Sure."

"Whatever."

"Oh no no no no you don't. You always do this when you disagree with me. Don't you guys dare gang up on me. I'm only one person!!!"

"Well, we won't gang up on you if. IF, you agree to see where this goes and promise not to get hurt when he betrays you.", Allison says.

"See where this goes?... What do you mean??"

"It's really obvious that you have feelings for him. I can see it on your face.", Lydia says.

"I do NOT!!!"

"Yeah you do", Allison says.

"What! You too?!"

"You like him."

"I so do NOT!!!!"

"Then prove it.

"You will let other girls flirt with him and you won't care if he leaves you for a girl. How does that sound, Janine dearest??Hmmmm...", Lydia asks.

"Good. Great. Awesome. I love that idea.", I choke out.

"Alright then, let's choose a colour to paint my room", Allison says.

"This one-- it's perfect!", Lydia says holding up a bright shade of pink.

"What about a pale colour. It's like an invitation to create.", I say.

"Mmm, I don't know. I'm still thinking maybe a shade of blue...? Wait a minute, Janine, look!!".
