CHAPTER FIVE.
[ v. please, please! ]
NARRATIVE

THE LAST FEW WEEKS SWAY had been over at hype constantly. The fans were enjoying the content that they were making together and the friends were enjoying the period of no drama. Kate and Bryce have become close friends and are constantly filming together making the fans speculate that they are dating, neither one of them have feeling for each though. They had also been playing with Alex and Thomas constantly, pulling pranks from left and right.

"KATELYN!" Her big brothers shouted from the dining room, anger heavy in their voices. She turned to look at Bryce, who was already a maniacal face from the reaction their prank had caused. She smiled at him, before walking out to the banister above the dining room.

"What?" She called out.

"You put a bucket of slime in the fridge?" Alex asked, already knowing the answer. She crossed her legs and bit her lip.

"I might've"

"Then you're cleaning up the mess." Thomas demanded, gesturing to the green slime that oozed out all over the kitchen floor. She looked at it in disgust. There was no way she was cleaning that mess up, and her brothers knew it.

"Uh...sure. Later. But, for right now, Bryce is taking me shopping." She said, gesturing to Bryce. He quickly stood up and walked over to the smirking girl.

"Didn't you just go shopping?" He asked. She pursed her lips and put her hands on her hips.

"So?" She asked, a 'you should know by now' look on her face. He sighed, rolling his eyes and grabbing his phone.

"Get in the car." She smiled, grabbed her phone and went outside to the car.

"The slime, Kate!" But the girl was already out the door. Her brothers looked at the sway member, hoping he would at least try to convince her. Bryce shrugged his shoulders and met Kate outside

"Let's get Dunkin on the way to the mall." Kate demanded, looking at Bryce. He nodded, knowing that arguing wouldn't help. They got in the car and started playing music, mostly to fill in the silence that car trips would bring for the two. Kate put on her sunglasses and checked herself in the mirror above her.

"Since when were you one for looks?" He asked

"Never, just making sure I covered up this zit well."

"Wait, let me see" She turned her head so he could see and pointed at it. He licked his thumb and stretched his arm out to take the make up. Kate jerked her head back, almost hitting it against the window, to get away from his wet thumb.

"Hey!" She slapped his hand away. She tried to keep a straight face, but couldn't help but smile at the boys laughter.

"The point was to see if it was covered, dummy!" She said, jokingly pouting. He grinned, and the maniacal look from before returned.

"Not for me." She shook her head, rolling her eyes and looking out the window. She couldn't help but smile as she replayed what had just happened in her head. There was just no way to help it.

INSTEAD OF GOING BACK TO the hype house after the mall, the two decided to go to the Sway House, where the sway boys, and their girlfriends, decided to meet up. Kate had forced Bryce to make her tagalong. She didn't want to go home and be forced to clean up the mess she made. When they got inside they saw that, most of the group were sitting, spread out across the room, on their phones. While Kate put her bags down near the door, Dixie had gotten up to greet her.

"Kate, finally," Dixie whined. Kate smiled at the sight of her good friend, Dixie, Charli's older sister. "Where were you?" She asked.

"I had Bryce take me to get Dunkin and to go shopping."

"Well it took you forever, I was bored."

"You had Griffin!"

"And he got boring!" She complained, a smile starting to grow on her face. Kate touched her friends shoulder, gesturing her to walk over to the living room.

"Sorry Dix."

"It's fine, I guess." When they got in the living room, almost half the boys looked up and smiled at Kate.

"Heyyy, Kate's here!" Jaden said, a smile on his face. When he said that, all the boys looked up and smiled. It was weird to see them so chipper. This could only mean one thing...

"No!" The girl shouted.

"Please, please! We're starving and we have a tie. Just choose. Are you in the mood for pizza or tacos?" Kio pleaded with her. She shook her head and made her way around the kitchen island, the boys right behind her.

"Say Taco Bell" Anthony demanded from across the room. Kate looked a Bryce with a 'Please Help' face. This was torture. He sighed and nodded, having a sort of soft spot for the girl.

"Okay, okay guys. Enough. I'll be the tie breaker. And I choose taco bell." He said, looking at Kate while announcing his decision. She smiled, grateful that he always had her back. She laughed as half the boys whined and the other half cheered. She met up with Bryce on the other side of the island.

"Thanks." She said, looking at the boy with soulful eyes. He smirked, looking down, back at her.

"Anytime."
