Taylor's P.O.V

Watching him walk away, I clutched the piece of paper. My heart was hammering in my chest. Jasmine was giggling madly, and I nudge her lightly telling her to be quiet. She stops and straightens up immediately. "Who was that?", she whispers. I shrug. "He's cute.", she continues. At this, a bit of jealousy fills me. I nod, pressing my lips together.

"Well, what are you going to do?" I run my finger gently over the creases in the paper. Sighing softly, I slowly unfold it. My lips move slightly as I read what he wrote.

Text Me: +1 323-348-1663

I gasp, my eyes widening. "Whoa...", Jasmine breathes out. "I know." I stare at the note until my vision becomes blurry. I decide to pocket the note in my apron. I have four more hours to decide what to do. I turn to Jasmine, "Let's just get back to work." She nods, understanding my hesitation. When she wasn't looking, I reach into my apron pocket, grasping my phone. I feel its cool screen, before moving my hand, the sharp edge of the paper cutting me.

I shake my head, pulling my hand out of the pocket. Focus. I need to focus. I ignore the slight dizziness in my head and get back to work. While I worked, I made up my mind. There was only one person who had answers. And that person was him.

Soon enough, it was my lunch break. I took my leave, walking into the parking lot. I head towards my car and unlock it. Stepping into it, I felt at ease. I sit down, turning on the A.C. For a few minutes, I did nothing. I just laid back and allowed serenity to wash over me.

The serenity lasted for only a few mere moments before I remembered my task. I pull out my phone and the note. My hands became sweaty, nearly dropping the device. I unlock it, heading straight to my contacts. Pressing 'add', I typed in the number he gave me. "I can't believe I'm doing this.", I whisper.

I tap on the message button, and with shaky hands, send him the first text, a simple 'Hi'. I rest my phone face down on my thigh, awaiting the vibrations signaling he had responded. They come about ten seconds later. I snatch my phone up, hungry for the truth. But of course, I'd need to be patient.

Jonah's P.O.V

She texted me. She actually texted me. I felt giddy, before regaining my posture and text her back.

(Below is the conversation between Jonah and Taylor. It is still in Jonah's perspective of the situation.)

J: Taylor?

T: Yes, and you are?

I snort at her bluntness.

J: Jonah

T: Cool, so who are you and how do you know me?

She really doesn't remember.

J: Where are you?

T: Why?

J: I need to talk to you in person.

T: Why?

I start to get annoyed.

J: Just because.

T: That's not a reason.

J: This is important.

T: Fine.

T: I'm in the cafe's parking lot.

Finally.

J: I'll be there in a sec.

T: K.

I call a cab, shooting a text to the guys letting them know that I'm out. I was surprised that Taylor didn't find me familiar. I'm not trying to brag, but Why Don't We is pretty big now. Although, Taylor doesn't strike me as the type that'd be into boy bands. I head out of the hotel, and into the taxi.

When we pull up to the cafe, I see a few cars in the parking lot. Great. Something moves and catches my eye. A woman had stepped out of a black Lexus. She looks in my direction, and an unsure smile creeps onto her face. Taylor. I smirk and comb my fingers through my hair. I pay the driver and add a huge tip, before getting out. Seeing this, she begins walking over to me.

When she reaches me, she looks me up and down, most likely checking it was really me. "Hey.", I say. Her lips purse, "Hola compadre." I roll my eyes. She sighs, "Can you just please tell me how you know me? I've never seen you in my life."

"How are you so sure about that?", I ask in amazement. "Because I would've remembered if I did.", she murmurs. I smile softly, taking a step closer to her. "July 28, 2019.", I whisper in her ear. "W-what?" I repeat the date and watch as her face pales. "How do you know about that?", she asks.

What? "We met on July 28, 2019.", I say. She tilts her head left a bit, "No...I was in a car crash that day." I blink in surprise. "Unless...", she covers her mouth. "Did we meet at a party?" I nod. "Did the party have a dance floor?" I nod again. "Did we...kiss?", she whispers the last word like it's a sin. "We did.", I tell her. Her pupils dilate. "Oh my god...", she manages to get out.

"After the party...I was driving home, and I got into a car crash. I broke a few bones and collected some bruises, but I also developed retrograde amnesia. This meant I forgot the events hours previous to the accident.", she rushes out. I open my mouth to speak when she cuts me off. "But...for the past two years, I've been having these dreams. And in the dreams, it was the same scene over and over again. I would meet a stranger and we would spend the night together. At the end of the dream, we would kiss..."

She looks at me, her eyes filled with wonder. "That stranger was you.", she says. I smile creeps its way onto my face. "I guess your mind didn't want you to forget me." She giggles, tears in her eyes. I place a hand on her cheek, wiping the tear that had escaped with my thumb. "Hey..." Suddenly, she places her lips on mines, catching me off guard. Her arms wrap around my neck, as my hands find their way to her waist. This was perfect

A.N.- This took so long to get out, but I really like this chapter. I would like to thank @smthndffrnt because she came up with the idea of the note. Without her, this chapter wouldn't be what it was. Thank you, Lara!
