It had been a long day of hunting and Dean Winchester felt utterly exhausted as he was driving to his temporary home. When he opened the door to his motel room, he was greeted by Castiel in what appeared to be a cat onesie sitting criss-cross on the floor in front of the television watching cartoons.

Cas looked back at him and turned around to face him.

"Hello, Dean." Castiel said with a smile.

Dean looked at Cas' attire and chuckled.

"Heya, Cas."

"How has your Valentine's Day been?" Cas asked while slightly tilting his head in curiosity.

"Oh, it's Valentine's Day," Dean replied as he got a beer out of the mini fridge, "Right. Well, uh, it hasn't been that bad. Almost died a few times, though. Yours?"

"Are you okay, Dean? Are you hurt?" Cas asked with a concerned look on his face.

"Yeah, I'm fine Cas," Dean answered and took a swig of his beer, "What's up with the outfit?"

"Oh," Cas said as he looks down at his clothing and then looks back up at Dean, "I went to the 'thrift store' today and I saw this so I picked it up. There was a fox and a tiger one as well, but I liked this one the most. I thought it was the cutest." After that he pulled the hood over his head revealing the cat ears on the top and smiled brightly.

Dean returned the smile.

"Yeah," Dean said lightly blushing, "It's pretty cute."

"Oh, speaking of the 'thrift store'," Cas said as he stood up, "The cashier lady told me that the shop was giving out a free box of chocolates to each customer because of the holiday. She told me to give it to a special person in my life. I don't eat, so I figured I'd give it to you." He walked out of the living room to get the box.

"Oh, okay.." Dean said and smiled softly to himself. He walked over to the couch, sat down, and picked up the TV remote. He tried finding something to watch but nothing interested him so he turned the TV off. He took another sip of his beer and set the bottle on the coffee table.

"Here, Dean." Cas said as he returned to the room. He handed the small box to Dean and smiled.

"Thanks, Cas!" Dean returned the smile and invited Cas to sit next to him. Castiel obeyed.

"Earlier this week I was with my cousins, the cherubs," Cas stated, "And they would not stop talking about Valentine's Day. They claim it is the best holiday. But I don't understand why people seem to like it so much, nothing special has happened yet. What makes Valentine's Day so great? What do people do on Valentine's Day?"

"Well, uh," Dean started, "Valentine's Day is definitely one of my favorite holidays. On Valentine's Day, people spend time with someone that's more than a friend to them and they do stuff. Like going out to dinner, seeing a movie, just spending time with each other, stuff like that. We call them dates. Sometimes they give each other gifts like flowers, stuffed animals, and candy on these dates. It's really nice when you spend it with the right person. That's why Sammy isn't here. He met some person. I haven't met her yet, but she seems nice from what I've heard."

"Oh. So, since we're spending time together, and I gave you those chocolates, does that mean we are on a 'date'?" Cas asked while tilting his head slightly.

"Uh.." Dean replied starting to feel his cheeks getting warmer.

"Would that make us 'more than friends'?" Cas asked, his head still tilted.

Dean could feel his ears start to burn up and he knew he was blushing. His hands started to sweat. He didnt know what to say.

"Um," Dean said, looking down at his hands in his lap, "If you want it to, Cas."
