     (Paintdrip's perspective)

I started to tear up at the scene as lightning's body never exists anymore, having her soul leave this world. Xing was safe, but he started to pant and was about to faint. I quickly catch him as he fell. Darma and the others were full of sadness and sorrow as they lay down their weapons and bowed their heads.

"Damnit, not lightning, just no...." Xing said under his breath.

1:00 am ruins of hooftopia....

"Xing come out. Soups on."I said.

"No thank you, I just need to be alone right now. I'll get it when it cools."

I leave the tent as he laid down to rest, crying himself to sleep. I began to tear up as I walked out of the tent, knowing that this has put a huge impact on him. I went to my own personal tent where I tried to plan the final siege

"So wait, run me by this one more time?" I ask Darma.

"Oh for Pete sake, listen when I speak! Alright now: Neon and Dragonfire will parachute you and Xing into the castle to fight the kingdom while the assassins and me will be advancing to destroy the defenses. Once we break in and destroy all the remaining forces and raid the supplies, then we will evacuate the citizens and to imprison them. When that's taken care of, you will finish your duty in the castle while we leave the kingdom. After that, set up the explosives and contact Neon and Dragonfire to pick you guys up."

I walk out of the tent as Darma finished explaining the plan. I walk over to Xing's tent to talk to him, but he was asleep. I tucked myself next to him as he holds me closer to him.

"You don't have to worry about me, it will all be over soon." He told me in his sobbing voice.

"I know. I want to be there with you when the time comes. I will help you achieve your goal, even if it means putting my life on the line for you."

I kissed his rough cheek as he silently drifts to sleep. I held on to him the whole night as the morning comes.

8:30 am....

I wake up still in Xing's tent, but something was wrong. Xing wasn't next to me! I quickly got my equipment together and ran out side to see Dragonfire and Neon getting ready to parachute us into the kingdom. I looked over to Xing sheathing his weapons. I smiled at him, and he smirked back at me as he held onto Neon. I went to Dragonfire to attach on for the skydiving. I looked over at Xing again to see him nod his head at me, letting me know it's going to be over soon.
