It seems that this story has been catching attention. Might as well update it right? Well it's showtime! Fair warning, the following is from Emiko's (female Enji) standpoint few years prior (5) whenever the time Izuku had ran away. Let's delve in.
She knew that her son was not like any other child. He had a powerful quirk that outclasses her own. She loved him deeply, but it wasn't her intention to brush him off. She would always think of ways to pay him back for missing every moment that he spent alone. Well, he wasn't exactly alone, his cousins Shoto, Fuyumi, Touya and Natsuo visit from time to time.
However, she knows that they can't always be here to take care of him. And her job tested that, she can't always make it home. So that sparked something in her mind. "Did he learn to cook for himself? Does he do laundry by himself?" The only thing she never thought was..."How long has it been since she last spoke to him?" That broke her. Feeling the sense of guilt, she opened up her son's room only to find a bed with it's covers on. The room looked barren, only a few posters of music and an mp3 player laid on his desk.
She grabs the mp3 player and skims through the music selection. The songs she found was quite concerning, some were slow songs and others...she dared not to find out. Why was her son so much into music? She thought he wanted to be a hero! His quirk is versatile!
...
And so she gasps...she was only thinking of herself and his quirk. She didn't consider his thoughts and feelings about the matter. Was it because of her own ego? For all that she knows, she hasn't really hurt him...right? She would never harm her own kin...but what about mentally? How deep is the wound of their relationship between a mother and a son?
Present Time
And so here she was, watching her own son crying a river that disapated from the heat of his uncontrollable power.
"I know what I did was not right. It pains me to see that I have lost 5 years of bonding with you. When I look at you right now...it just seems you were forced to grow up too soon."
He shouted back at her. "Forced? It's more like you forced yourself away from me." He had turned her own words against her.
"How many hours did you spent with me everytime you got back home from being a hero?"
"...Next to nothing." The only time she spent with him was just telling him to clean and focusing on his studies.
His flames were growing brighter. Greenish-white flames danced off of his hands. The floor was getting charred.
"You have to calm down-" She wanted to warn him that his power was getting out of hand.
"Get away from our son!" Hisashi stood in front of her. Inko ran towards her son, calming him down.
"I am fine mother." Her own son called another woman his mother. That didn't fit right with her. "She was just leaving."
Her expression was grim. She didn't want leave. Not after all this time, her son is right there yet she cannot hold him! It felt like she was banned from seeing him.
"As he said. I was just leaving." She knew she couldn't stay here any longer unless she wanted to get a restraining order against her. It'll only deter her from seeing him again.
She left, not without looking back towards him. Although his flames are gone, they lingered.
[Break]
Izuku Midoriya didn't get enough sleep. How could he? He debated if he should go to UA today. After a long time of thinking, he put on his uniform and bid his parents a good day.
Arriving in 1-A, he casually sat next to his cousin or brother in arms, Shoto Todoroki. Said teen looked at him as in concern. He had learned about his Aunt finding Izuku.
"You holding up okay?" Izuku lifted his head."Didn't get enough sleep, never thought she would find me and ny home address." Shoto grimaced. "Why don't you come over? I'm sure Fuyumi-nee would be happy to see you."
"I'll take you up on that then. Might want to call her later on so she can prepare some Soba huh?" "Indeed. I'll notify her."
Aizawa, their homeroom teacher, rolled in with his sleeping bag. "...The lessons today is 2v2 exercises. While it looks standard, it's not. It's Heros vs Villains. However, I want you guys to meet a guest that specializes in Villains hiding in buildings."
The sense of dread drew closer, Izuku was almost hyperventilating. 'She's the guest?!'
His real mother walked through the door. "So this is Class 1-A. Doesn't look anything spe-" Her eyes darted around and locked themselves to him.
"...cial..."
Shoto saw his cousin/brother in arms seemed to almost back away in the corner. "Izuku? Are you alright bro?"
This seemed to caught the attention of the entire class, especially one Jirou Kyoka.
"Midoriya-kun?"
He wanted out. He didn't want to be here anymore. So the only thing his body could do was freeze and shut down. All he could hear was the sound of static voices reaching out to him.
Sorry it took so long to publish this chapter. I was unsatisfied with how many times I had to rewrite it from scratch. I think this was an okay-ish chapter all around. Tell me what you think.
See ya next chapter.
