you promised.

A chance..

you and bokuto have been together for three years. its senior year and everything has been going great. you've been on top of all your classes, bokuto is making his reputation known to recruiters at his games, your happy with the memories you make everyday but you have one thing clouding the back of your mind..

its been a week since you've seen bokuto since he's been busy so you decide to text bokuto, asking him to come over to watch a movie. you sent the message excitedly hoping he'd agree, you waited and waited but he ended up on leaving you on read. you shrugged it off and decided to watch a movie by yourself.

-2 am-

you panically woke up, looking around while you have a heavy feeling in your chest. as you get up off the couch you remember the dream you just had, you were in an argument with bokuto but you cant seem to recall the reason why.

you soon forgot about it thinking it was nothing.

who knew dreams could come true..

its been 4 days since you had the dream but you pushed it to the back of your head since senior prom was coming up but theirs a slight problem, bokuto's been in his emo mode for the past 2 days and you've tried everything you could possibly think of to cheer him up except one thing.

you run up to bokuto after school, he looks at you with a confused but irritated look on his face. you hesitated to even hug him but you did  "yes i know your in a mood but lets go on a picnic, ill make you yakiniku~".  

bokuto smiled a little and nodded as he hugged you back meaning he slipped out of emo mode. later on you guys sat on your roof while watching the sunset. it was another great memory to add to the books but suddenly bokuto's phone started blowing up. 

"are you gonna look at the messages?" 

he looked over at you and smiled "whoever it is can wait, im with you right now and your way more important".

not important enough..

next day was fustrating, all you were thinking about is how your gonna tell bokuto that- 

"heyyyy-" you snapped back into reality to see akaashi waving his hand infront of your face.

"oh hello keiji" you mumbled as you grabbed your bookbag 

akaashi walked you to the gym while explaining a "situation" you were expecting to be bad but as soon as you walked in the gym you saw the whole team holding roses and bokuto in the front holding a sign asking you to prom.

you were in shock, you dropped your bookbag as the team handed you the roses. bokuto walked over to you as he handed the sign to akaashi and reached for your hand, pulling you into his arms.

"will you make me even happier than you already do and go to prom with me?"

you let out a little laugh and nodded as you looked at him, "of course"

the whole team cheered and clapped as bokuto gave you a gentle but full kiss on the lips. 

bokuto let a giant sigh of relief after the kiss, "i thought you were gonna say no!"

you laughed more as he kept being his fullfilling energetic self during the rest of practice but one thought repeated in your head.

'ill have a chance to tell him...'
