A few weeks later unedited for now

Atsushi's shoulder clicked in discomfort with weeks no months (he could t really tell since time didn't mean much for him) of getting used to the agency and every few days a new problem that occurs he can feel the muscle tighten significantly. Recently Kunikida had dealt with two people dying on his mission and Atsushi felt a little bad for him. With the persona he's chosen to showcase for everyone he's so hopeful that he doesn't break character- for one Seiko might not let him on a mission for another hundred years or she'll make Reign kick his ass... equally as unwanted.

He was aimlessly walking around Yokohama a place he got to watch grow just as much as everyone else in the Home did and he was proud of it. He paused for a moment.
// Seiko.. I have realised something
~ oh Hello little tiger bad time...
// sorry Seiko it can wait.
~ what is it? My meeting is hasn't started just yet
// do we have a name for the house? Like something to call it besides the home in purgatory?"
~ oh...? I haven't ever thought of it I suppose the Reaper House? Home? I have to go now
// fair enough haha bye Seiko!

Perhaps the smile on his face would make him seem a bit odd but he always enjoyed talking to the woman who saved his life.
A small body bumped into him.
"Sorry." She said.
"It's okay I wasn't paying attention."
"Me either.."
*Wow she is pretty.* He thought. Perhaps the downside of immortality is the idea of love lasting a fraction of the time it could. He blinked- she'd spoken.
"I'm sorry anyway. I'm Gin."
"Atsushi." He glanced at the grocery bags. "Do you need a hand?"
"Oh it's fine the car is only around the corner."
"If you say so. See you around M'lady." He said with a small bow and a grin.
"Goodbye good sir." She giggled.
:: Nice one kid.
~ Oh shit you heard that
:: Yep
~ Don't tell Seiko?
:: Oh I'm telling her kid, Oop she's glaring at me gotta go
~ Bye
Atsushi wanted to facepalm so bad. So so bad.

"Weretiger." Atsushi turned towards the familiar voice to see Akutagawa hidden in the shadows. Atsushi's eye twitches as he fights the urge to roll them.
"Akutagawa."
"What are you doing out here?"
"On a walk can I help you?"
"Fight me."
"No." Atsushi's tone seemed to have startled the mafioso who's (lack of) eyebrows furrowed.
"No?"
"No. I am not fighting you it's my day off and I damn well deserve it." The facade he built was crumbling- somehow the mafioso knew how to push his buttons, he can't tell if he's irritated or getting angry. The weretiger however swears he heard the strangled laugh of his mentors at his response.
"Fine.... what were you doing with my sister then?" Atsushi's nose scrunched, what the hell did that mean. "You were just talking to her you Jinko."
"Oh her, she seemed quite lovely and very pretty... what happened to you?" Akutagawa took a step back.
"Uh- don't flirt with Gin."
"I won't unless she does first." He laughed and gave a quick wink. Before Akutagawa could respond Atsushi was back on his walk.

Akutagawa was confused, the weretiger he'd been fighting the last few months was always meek, would talk back if he didn't like something that was said or he'd shut in on himself. The swagger the weretiger carried on his own almost made him call Dazai and ask what was wrong with him but then he'd have to listen to him list of why Atsushi Nakajima was a better subordinate.
He spotted Gin waiting by the car, she seemed to hold a blush on her face.
"Oh fuck no." He muttered.
"Come on Ryu I want to see my cat." His eye twitched.
"Coming Gin."

Gin had felt heat rest on her cheeks after meeting with Atsushi although she wasn't sure if that was him at all. Her brother spoke about him often enough she could gauge what he would look like but she didn't expect his eyes to be so pretty and it threw her off.
*Stop it Gin you are a professional,* she found herself thinking. A thought churned in her mind. *Just how much does Ryu hate the tiger boy? Could I prank Ryu with him?*
What... it's just for fun, she promises.

Atsushi however kept walking until he was sure he couldn't be seen anymore and ducked into a large alley. His sunset eyes scanned the surroundings before noticing a small package shoved beneath a rubbish bag. With cat like caution he picked it up the mark of Reapers sitting in a piece of wax stuck to the paper. Atsushi was quick to put it in his bag and walk out. Unbeknownst to him however he had been seen, the wary and unsure eyes of his new roommate watching as he left the alley after only being in there for a moment. She turned to her left, Kenji was holding out some lollies (candy) towards her.
"I heard you liked these." He said. Kyoka nodded.
"These are my favourites thank-you Kenji."
"Are you okay you've been staring across the road for a little while now?"
"Yeah it's fine I just saw Atsushi go into that Alley and leave a minute later though."
"He's always done that. Says he found an anonymous informant for us and they send him to pick up packages... Dazai says that Atsushi always takes some chunk of wax off it though and doesn't bin it." The cow lover shrugged.
"Okay maybe I'll ask him about it later."
"Have fun with that even Ranpo doesn't know what's up." A new voice added making the two teens jump. It was Dazai. "Aw are you two on a date?"
"N-no." The stammered.
"Go away Dazai." Kyoka pouted. The man just laughed and ruffled their hair.
"Let's get back, Atsushi might have more info on something for us." Kenji grinned. Kyoka nodded though a feeling in her gut made her wonder, was he hiding something?
