Simmons: "Seriously though, why are we here? As far as I can tell, it's just a box canyon in the middle of nowhere. No way in or out."
Grif: "Mm hmm."
Simmons: "The only reason that we set up a Red Base here, is because they have a Blue Base over there. And the only reason they have a Blue Base over there, is because we have a Red Base here."
Grif: "Yeah. That's because we are fighting each other."
Simmons: "No, no. But I mean, even if we were to pull out today, and if they would come take over our base, they would have two bases in the middle of a box canyon. Whoopdee-doo."

In this universe, there have been many rivalries. But none have been stronger then between the Reds and the Blues. The Blues, courageous and strong, inhabit the left side of the planet. The Reds, fearless and brave, inhabit the right. Their bitter feelings of hate and anger have lasted for centuries, and the fighting never stops. For both clans, defeat always seems to be inevitable. Peace is a foolish and inconceivable thought. To the warriors of the Red and Blue clans, peace is considered a thought of the weak. But in reality, only the strong can join in true union with one's adversaries.
