Keldeo walked up the staircase leading to the entrance of Bowser's Castle, this was his first time actually entering the castle by choice. He arrived at the door and gently knocked. While waiting for an answer, he awkwardly leaned against a pillar, looking around. Soon enough the door opened, it was just who he wanted to see. Well, who else could've opened up the door, he's the only one there. Keldeo immediately stopped leaning and stood in front of the giant koopa, he was a bit taller than him, but no too much. Bowser looked awful, there was chocolate milk dripping down his chin and he looked like he hadn't been getting much sleep.
Bowser looked at who was standing before him and his eyes widened, he looked mad, but confused.
"What are YOU doing here?" He asked with a growl. Keldeo gulped. He cleared his throat and began talking.
"Heeeeeyyyyy! Buddy?" Keldeo said without thinking. Bowser's eye twitched.
"Don't. Call me buddy." Keldeo started sweating.
"Ok, sorry. Let me start over... Hi! I just wanted to check up on you, Bowser. I haven't seen you in a couple of weeks, and I just wanted to make sure everything was ok." Bowser looked confused.
"Uh, thanks I guess." Bowser looked away from Keldeo awkwardly. Keldeo started talking again,
"C-can I come in? I have something for you." He said with a slightly forced grin. Bowser let out a quick sigh.
"Fine." Bowser walked into the castle, and gestured Keldeo to follow.Inside the castle everything looked like a wreck, it smelt like ice cream and soda, there were scratches all over the walls, and even some dents in some places. Bowser went up a flight of stairs and Keldeo followed, they arrived on the roof.
"This is where I usually hang out, so what did you want to give me?" Bowser sat on a bench, and waited for Keldeo to respond. Keldeo chuckled nervously and pulled out an envelope.
"Huh?" Bowser took the envelope and opened it. He read it out loud."Hey Bowser, I know we've had some tough times, as a matter fact we're supposed to be sworn enemies... But I was thinking, all of your conquerors quit, you've been all alone in here, so I was wondering if you wanted to hang out, with me?" Bowser looked up at Keldeo and let out a huge laugh.
"BAHAHAHAHAHA! ME? HANG OUT WITH YOU?! THAT'S RIDICULOUS! I'D RATHER HANG OUT WITH MYSTERIO! ALSO! MY CONQUERORS DIDN'T QUIT! YOU STOLE THEM, I KNOW YOU DID, I BET YOU USED SOME WEIRD ASS MIND CONTROL STUFF WITH YOUR CREEPY HORN!" Bowser got out of his seat and approached Keldeo.
"WHEN I SAID, 'I WILL NEVER FORGIVE YOU', I MEANT EVERY WORD OF THAT. I WILL NEVER EVER IN A MILLION YEARS FORGIVE YOU!!! I bet this is just some kind of trap anyway..." Keldeo gulped, and stood up tall.
"You may think I did all of these things, but I promise you I did not. If i came here to trick you it'd be 10 times more obvious! I'm worried about you! I don't care if we're sworn enemies, you don't even have to forgive me. I just think you'd benefit from a little time outdoors. Please Bowser, give me a chance." Bowser looked in his eyes, he looked genuine, and sounded genuine. But he knew if he accepted this offer it would go against everything his dad would've ever wanted.
"(But I don't want to be like dad anymore...)" He thought to himself. Bowser looked at the note one more time, then back at Keldeo.
"...Is this friday okay?"
"It's perfect."
