LUCYS P.O.V
I bolted as fast as I could to hide in a tiny coat closet in a corner of the room. God, they were bickering like children, were nineteen for gods' sake! Now look at what's happened. if the guards find us I, and the others will get thrown out and coming into this world would have been pointless. I tried to keep my breathing steady but it was hard. The closet was so cold I swore I saw my own breath. There was a crack in the closet and peered though it. There was three guards. One was old and muscular, he had grey hair but I couldn't see his face because he was turned away from me. The other two were much younger. The youngest had freckles and didn't look like the 'army type' he had orange hair and huge teeth. The second youngest looked very professional, with slicked back hair and high cheek bones. I can dig high cheek bones.
"How do we control it?" Cheek bones said.
"By 'it' you mean the kids right?" The youngest squeaked.
"Of course he means the kids you follon!" Said the oldest guard-wait no that wasn't a guard that was the general!
What on this earth- or more like these earths was a follon? Maybe it was like calling him a name or something.
"We have to keep a close eye on them if one of them does summon Maligin" The guard said in a hushed tone.
"Right" nervously said the youngest.
"If they summon Maligin the execution is the only option."
"Well if you will excuse us general our shift is now so we will have to get going." Cheek bones said extremely nervously.
"Right, well go on then."
The two guards headed off, and the general headed off to... Somewhere. After about five minutes Hikaru got out of wherever she was hiding and exclaimed
"I found an elevator."
"Where did you hide?" Steven asked.
"The bathroom over there" she said pointing at a door that must have lead to the bathroom.
"There's an elevator in the bathroom?" Melony asked confused.
"Apparently, well anyways we should leave now if we're going to get to the living quarters before the guards" said Hikaru too quickly for me to even notice.
"Steven why are you shoving cookies into your shirt?" I asked a bit confused, while Steven shoved about a dozen cookies into his shirt.
"There yummy! Besides where else am I supposed to put them?"
"Guys come on!" Shouted Hikaru while slamming the elevator button.
All four of us surprisingly fit in a two man elevator. Every time Steven moved cookie crumbs would fall out of his shirt which was very distracting. After the annoying elevator music stopped we got out of the elevator and rushed into our beds before the guards came in shining bright lights. After they left, I was going to talk to Melony or Steven, but I decided not to. I was exhausted and I figured they were too. I could talk to them in the morning.
I couldn't get to sleep. So I tried to remember all the digits of pi. I couldn't remember 20 even if I tried hard. Then I thought to myself, "that was a stupid idea, I mean why would we even sneak into the living room. That was something a bunch of twelve year olds would do. Is that really how strict people were around here? It seemed like Melony,Hikaru, and Steven had never done anything that bad before. They must have been deprived or something. Finally after much overthinking about everything, like why writing the name Maligin was such a big deal, I drifted off to sleep.
I only got about four hours of sleep that night. Melony woke me up shaking my arm.
"Wake up! Wake up!"
I heard the faint sound of Steven screaming in my face and giving me an 'emergency cookie'. Hikaru on the other hand was trying to pack all her stuff up. Oh god what had happened.
