Hi! am an Jamaican girl who fell in love with K-Pop in late 2020( September to October) with the help...
As mentioned in the previous Chapter. From that night on I knew a new chapter of my life was experienced. After that night I started doing my research and all. And in all honesty it wasn't hard for me to get to match their faces with their names and to get their birthdays correct(BTS members). It was easy for me because am a fast learner ad I was interested (not boasting or anything). When I discovered BTS I didn't have WiFi as yet and school was not reopened as yet because there was a lot of delays and set back dates and stuff like that. So I just kept on listening to the radio station and when the song comes on (Dynamite), I would dance and sing and felt happy. When school reopened in October I was first using my dad's phone for classes (using data) and I couldn't like be engaged in watching them because I would have to be conserving the data to do classes the next day. After a while my dad then sorted out things and ended up getting the WiFi ( because the credit to put on the service was costing too much as time went by). I still couldn't be like watching them and all because my dad is very strict and I would basically only use the phone for class and do my homeworks and then put it down until he comes home (love you still mom and dad!). After a while my dad thought that he could set up back my tablet and let me use it for class, but.... I placed a password on it and forgot so it had to be whipped before use which didn't happen so the password was still placed in the tablet but I wasn't using it for school(yay!) Because of that I could use my tablet for watching stuffs because there was a guest part of the tablet. But it didn't have any space to download apps to do class so I watched YouTube on Chrome (behind my dad back)😳 when am on class but guys I was still focused. I watched BTS songs all day and would always be like to my mom (she's not that strict and gives me space more than my dad does), "MOMMY DO YOU KNOW THIS SONG" like the mad person I am (lol) and she would be like "no" and I would be like to my self "I hear this song already BTS sang it?! didn't know" After a while I got so use to them that I adapted to them and it was like I was there with the from their debut🙈💜.
I would sit and watch them the whole time until it was time for my dad to come home (not like he's racist and would be like, "don't listen to them people there) no! I just didn't want to tell him cause he would always be like too strict, which he already is and stuffs like that. So anyways I fell in love with K-Pop.
In the other chapter I'll talk about how I got involved in other groups aswell😊
