*chirp chirp*

*groaning*

"Hmmmm....?"

I slowly opened my eyes as the bird continued to chirp like a fucking maniac. I sighed as I briefly closed my eyes. I stretched my body as my spine cracked and popped like the elf cereal.

A smile slowly spread across my face as I realized I slept with out one of my retched nightmares.

I sat up and looked around the room, my room, in this hell hole of a house. In reality it was not a bad house, in fact it was more on the expensive side with multiple bedrooms, shiny new appliances and a giant backyard.
But any house with people that reminded me of 'him' was a hell hole of a house.

I frowned as I came back to my senses. Looking to the left and smiling once more as I saw Fluffy. She looked over at me from her enclosure and yawned a tired hello.

I got up out of bed and cried out in pain

I got up out of bed and cried out in pain. My body still revolting from those years...i looked down at my hip. I cringed as I could see that it was still malformed, the bones sticking out at an odd angle...the surgeries being almost completely useless to fix the hip bones. I moved to stand again and cringed. Running out yesterday was a horrible idea as it only made the pain worse.

I trudged my broken body into the bathroom attached to my room and turned on the hot water hoping to calm some of the pain I was feeling. I peeled off shirt and underwear, my mind noticing every scar and misshaped limb before I stepped into scalding stream of water.

I turned my head up towards the shower feeling the pull to mourn my past, but I persisted. I would not break down now. Not ever. Breaking down is for the weak, I couldn't be weak anymore. Being weak only leads people to use and break you. I've learned my lesson.

I groaned as I realized I've been in the shower a long time. So long in fact, that the water has turned cold. Huffing I shifted my weight as I closed the water. Stepping out I wiped off the mirror to look at my face. I frowned as I saw my pale sickly looking skin, my messy shoulder length white hair, and my weird, unnatural, teal eyes.

Disgusted by my appearance, I swiftly turned around and headed back to my room and straight to the closet. I sifted through the clothes looking for some that would cover my malformed body.

I quickly pulled on some underwear and some basketball shorts, before turning towards my shirts...sighing I grabbed a sleeveless turtleneck and put it on. Lastly I went to my bedside table and grabbed my thigh high medical socks as long medical gloves.

Happy with my clothes I stepped away from the closet and towards Fluffy's enclosure

Happy with my clothes I stepped away from the closet and towards Fluffy's enclosure. Opening I reached my hand in let her slither up my arm and wrap around my neck before closing her enclosure and stepping out of my room, softly closing the door behind me.

I stepped down the stairs with only mild pain and limped to the kitchen. Opening the fridge I grabbed some milk and some cereal from the cabinet. I poured the cereal and milk, before putting the ingredients away.

I stepped away from the counter and heading towards the backyard. As soon  as I was out I let out a breath of relief. I was no longer inside that stifling house. I walked past the pool and straight towards the middle of the yard.

Once I was sat down, I unwound Fluffy  from my neck and let her bask in the early morning sunlight. Smiling down at her I grabbed my spoon and started on my cereal.

Eating bite after bite I watched the clouds go by, calm as I could be. I went to scoop up another bite but all I came up with was milk. Looking at my bowl I realized I had finished my breakfast. Sighing, I lifted up my bowl and drank the leftover milk.

Once I was done with the milk i sat the bowl down and grabbed Fluffy, laying her on my chest before laying down on the ground myself. Smiling I closed my eyes, enjoying the warm sun on my exposed skin.

I was at the calmest I could be when I hear a door open and a few moment later close. Thinking i imagined it I stayed laying down, not a worry in the world.

That's when I heard footsteps.

"Ahem?"
