y'all this one's really sad (for me at least) sorry
-
"I don't- I don't know how much time we have left." Chan said, trying to hide how much his voice was shaking.
"The phone lines still aren't working?" Minho asked quietly.
Chan paused, staring at the younger with sad eyes, "I'm sorry Minnie..."
Minho inhaled shakily, "Do you think.. the others are safe?"
"They're with their families, I'm sure they're alright." Chan said.
Minho gave him a sad smile, looking out the window at the blue sky, tears forming in his eyes as he realised this would be the last time he would see it.
He thought of his parents, how scared they must be, and his cats. They had no idea what was happening, and he would do anything to hold them one last time.
He tried not to think of his members, who were away with their families, having left a week prior for their winter break. Minho stayed behind, not wanting Chan to feel alone as he wouldn't be able to visit his family.
"I'm sorry.." Chan spoke up, looking out the window as well.
"What?" Minho asked, turning his head.
"I'm- it's my fault you're not with your family.. I'm sorry."
Minho wanted to tell him that he didn't need to be sorry, that he chose to stay here and he would feel horrible if he had gone.
He wanted to say that he would never forgive himself if he had let Chan die alone, but he didn't want to accept the fact that they were going to die soon.
"It's okay.. I'm fine here with you."
Chan didn't reply, overwhelmed with depressing thoughts as he looked down onto the empty streets littered with abandoned cars.
They sat in silence for a while, both too lost in their own thoughts to speak.
"Hyung.." Minho finally spoke up, tears welling up in his eyes again. Chan looked up, waiting for him to continue.
"I- I love you.." He choked out, sobbing, "I love you, and I wish I could have said something earlier- but now- now we don't have much time and i-"
Chan pulled him into a hug, Minho pressing his face into his shirt and wetting it with his tears. "I love you too Minnie, I always have."
He frowned at the heartbreaking sobs, holding Minhos trembling form closer. "It's okay.. calm down."
"I don't want to go, Hyung," He wailed, "please, I don't want to die."
"I know, I'm sorry." Chan felt tears welling up in his eyes, burying his head in Minhos hair who continued to cry.
He could smell his shampoo, sobbing as the weight of their situation settled in. He would never be able to hold him close like this again, or any of his members, his friends, his family.
He would never see them again, never feel again. He wouldn't be able to tell those who made his life worth living how much they meant to him.
The faint rumbling in the distance progressively became louder, the two boys unable to ignore it at this point.
They looked up, devastation settling upon them as they saw how close the astroid was getting.
They only had a few minutes left at most.
Just like in the movies, Minho felt his life flash before his eyes. Every happy moment, every sad moment, every moment that showed him how beautiful and cruel life can be. Every moment in his life that made him feel.
He looked at Chan, who stared back at him. Minho wanted to start sobbing again from the way Chan looked at him. He wiped the tears on his face, cupping Chan's face and pulling him in for a kiss.
He poured his heart out into the kiss, and Chan quickly responded. Minho tangled his fingers in the olders hair, trying to pull him closer before the two pulled away to catch their breaths, resting their foreheads together.
"Thank you.." Chan whispered, kissing him gently.
"Thank you for loving me."
