Ding! The bell rang, and I left the computer lab. I walked down the hallway and into the office, and Mr. Shaw greeted me.
"What do you need sweetheart?" Mr. Shaw's deep voice asked.
"Oh, I just need to get the results from my test. I'm leaving school today, and Ms. Antan said that if I pass this test, I'll get my GED in the mail," I told him, and he nodded, going to get Ms. Antan, my guidance counseler. Within a minute or so she showed up, a big grin on her face. I loookede at her, smiling a little. She handed me a piece of paper.
"You got a perfect score on the test!you will get your GED in the mail and if you ever need to get A job, your résumé will say valedictorian on it," Miss Antan explains, and I jumped up and down.
"Oh my God thank you so much!" I exclaimed, putting the paper in my folder before picking up my backpack. Ms. Antan puts her hand on my shoulder.
"Take care of yourself Hun,"she smiled and I gave an almost inpercieveable nod, before walking out of the office. My friends were waiting for me right outside the office.
"Well? Did you pass the test?" My friend EllaBelle asked, and I smiled.
"I got a perfect score!" I told them, and they smiled gravely.
The four of them chorus good job and congratulations to me, even though they don't want to, as they engulfed me in a group hug. They began to cry and I pulled away slowly.
"So, we're never going to see you again?" Aaron asked, and Tonya smacked him upside the head.
"I'll definitely see you around town, and text you when I can," I say and my redheaded friend Kayla shakes her head.
"so that's it? You're just leaving?" Kayla asked, obviously disgusted by my actions. I frowned.
"Look, I have to go, my flight leaves at six, text me in group chat, I'll reply when I get off the plane, see you all around," I quickly gave them all hugs, before turning on my heel I'm beginning to walk away. I heard Aaron's voice mutter "fuck you then you whore," and I lost it as I froze in my tracks. I spun around, walking back to them and smacking him in the face, before spinning back around and angrily walking away....
