I took a deep breath, before walking into the front door.
"Mom! I'm home!" I call out, and hear her stomp down the stairs. I find her in the kitchen, cutting carrots. The tension could be cut with a knife.
"Louis will be here for me at 5," I tell her. She ignores me. I sigh.
"Please don't ignore me, I don't want to leave like this," I say, and she whips around.
"Then why are you?" Her voice trembles with tears in her brown eyes.
"Mom, I love you, please don't do this to me, I'll be back, I promise," I whimper, and she sighs.
"Your right, I'm sorry, I just don't want you to go," She says sadly, and I hug her. Immeadiately, the tension drops. It's like my mother is a whole new person. She smiles as I pull away, and a smile creeps onto my lips as I tell her the news.
"I got a perfect score on my test. My GED will be in the mail soon," My mother high fives me when I tell her.
"Well, your father has something for you. He said he will be here in 10 minutes," My mom tells me, and I nod.
"Ok, I have to finish packing. Wanna help?" I asked her, and she smiles. We go upstairs to my room. I have suitcases everywhere! My mom runs into a closet to pick out an outfit for me, coming out with a baby blue sundress. It's strapless, and goes down to just above my knees. She started pulling out shoes and accessories while I finished packing. I finished in about 10 minutes, hearing my dad's heavy footsteps as we walks into the house.My outfit was laid out on the bed, and my mom was already downstairs. I ran down the stairs, and hugged my dad.
"Mom said you had something for me?" I said with a smile, and he nods.
"Two things. One is in my pocket, and the other is in the car. But the one in my car might not be allowed to be taken with you," My dad tells me, and I nod. He reaches into his pocket and pulls out a box. I open the box, and inside is a white IPhone 5S! It has a baby blue lifeproof case, headphones and a charger inside as well. I do one of those cliche squeals before hugging my parents. They smile, before my mom hands me a blindfold. I put it on quickly, before my mom leads me outside. She guides me outside, and I hear my dad open his car door. My mom unties my blindfold, allowing me to see. As my blindfold drops to the ground, my hand flies to my mouth, covering it. In my dads hands, is a puppy. But not just any puppy, it was a German Shepard puppy! My eyes tear up as my dad gently lays the puppy in my arms.
"She's 4 months old," My dad says, and I smile.
"Thank you guys so much!" I exclaim, bringing the puppy inside, my parents following me. My dad hands me a pink collar, which I happily clip around her neck. I stand from the puppy, hugging both of them.
"I'm going to miss you guys!" I say, tears in my eyes. My mother pulls away and tells me to go get ready, because Louis will be here in about an hour. I kiss both of them on the cheek, before running upstairs to get ready....
