It can be a very difficult choice on where to sit on the first day of school, especially if you are a new student with no experience whatsoever at a new school. (Not to mention Louis had transferred halfway through the school semester.) You could get lucky and choose a table with friendly, smart kids who would make friends. You could be completely stupid and sit with the bullies and neanderthals, getting in trouble for dumb stuff everyday. Or maybe you could accidentally slip in with the nerds. One wrong move and you could be stuck in a social rut.

It was a very tough decision for Louis Tomlinson. As he gripped his tray and stood back observing all of the students, trying to decipher whom he would fit in with. Louis could obviously point out the nerds, having flash cards and homework out. He could also see all of the druggies, as he and pretty everyone referred to them as, acting all loopy with their piercings and very noticeable tattoos.

Then he laid eyes on the Circle Club's table, in the far right of the room. Louis immediately noticed a head of curls, laughing at something that someone had said. Even though it was his first day, he could tell that they were the populars. And he hadn't even been there for four hours yet.

"Hey mate," A voice spoke to Louis, and he felt a tap on his shoulder. With his eyebrows raised, he looked over to a smiling lad with brown hair. "I see you're new here."

Louis nodded, still holding his tray of food. The boy made a gesture that said "come with me", and together they walked to a table with people who looked, in Louis' mind, normal.

"I'm Liam, you can sit with us if you like," Liam spoke, and Louis gratefully nodded, sliding into the space next to Liam. Everyone at the table gave Louis a friendly smile and continued on with their conversations.

"So what's your name?" Liam quizzed, picking up a fry. Louis opened up his milk carton casually, getting ready to speak. "Oh wait, you're Louis! You are in my math class," Liam realized, and Louis chuckled nodding.

"What is your next class?" Louis asked him, hoping that they had this class together. Louis could use a friend.

"Music, you?"

"Me too," Louis smiled, and Liam returned a happy one. Louis could automatically tell Liam was a jolly guy.

"I'll show you the way, it can be a maze of you get lost back there," Liam chuckled, getting out of his seat to throw away his trash. Louis sighed happily, making his way to the trash bin as well, knowing he had already managed to make one friend.

Louis had only sat back down at his table when the noise of a bell rang through the air, earning groans from most of the students. Louis though was excited for what music had to bring, for he lived to sing. It came naturally to the former Doncaster boy, and it was his favorite thing to do.

"C'mon, I want to get good seats," Liam told Louis, pulling the boy out of his seat easily. Louis' eyes widened in shock of the boy's strength as Liam set Louis on his feet. "C'mon!"

Together they rushed down the halls, Louis laughing most of the way. The two received strange looks as they ran through the halls, but they didn't care. Breathless, Liam stopped and opened a door to the music room.

"First ones here," Liam laughed as he stepped into the room, Louis still trying to catch his breath. Louis looked around at the room. There were three rows of tan chairs with seven chairs in each row. For each row back there was a step that the chairs sat on. In the back there were various instruments from other classes, such as clarinets, tubas, saxophones, trumpets, baritones, flutes, drums and special xylophones.

"Liam!" A foreign male voice spoke. Louis turned and saw a middle aged man with a shiny bald head that Louis really wanted to touch. Weird but true.
