Levy comes across a terrible accident and is short on much needed money. Before the accident, her mum and herself were barely making it ever since her dad died. The bills were too high and the fridge too empty. The times were desperate.
Gajeel is a pretty wealthy, cold hearted rock singer. Gajeel happens to be one of Levy's favorite music artists and her celebrity crush. Well, he wasn't one of those extremely famous singers who were on shows or movies all the time. No, he wasn't that big. He had concerts but didn't live in a mansion. He didn't have a butt load of friends and connections and didn't dress like famous people usually do. If you saw him on the street one day, you would never have guessed that he was a singer.
They meet the day after Levy's mum was put into the hospital when it's raining. Gajeel agrees he will help her out with the money and lend her a place to stay temporarily, until she is set on her feet and is ready for the world on her own since she doesn't know how long her mum will be in a coma. But in return she has to help him become better at being friendly with other people. He could really use the connections and friends but he is too cold hearted and rude to even make acquaintances with anyone. They all find him rude and don't want to become business partners with him, let alone friends. It was a bit awkward that he asked for something other people found natural but Levy agreed knowing she really needed the money. How hard could it be?
She may not have the encouragement and mental support but she sure has enough money to help her mum and for her to survive. He promises himself that he won't feel any more sympathy or grow attached to the tiny shrimp living in his house. But you can probably guess how that promise is going to turn out, along with others he may make.
They both need each other. Gajeel is needed for money and hopefully some support. Levy is needed so she can teach him to be nice and make friends. How will it turn out and will they still need each other when Levy's mum comes back from the coma?
