It is currently the end of March, 1998 and Yaguchi Haruo and his classmates are nearing high school graduation. All their time is dedicated to university entrance exams. "Haruo-kun!" A familiar voice echoes across the school yard. "Hey, Haruo-kun!" Repeats Miyao, "Let's say we hit an arcade on the way home to get you out of your rut." Yaguchi looks down at his feet as he hides his face and tries to choke back his tears, "I'm sorry, I don't care much for games any more, besides, I need to think about college and a career." As the boys walk towards the Yaguchi residence, there is complete silence; however, the message was crystal clear. Miyao is quite aware of Yaguchi's plight and no matter what he tries, cannot shake him free from his personal hell. Yaguchi is a broken shell of his former self. The boys part ways and as Yaguchi walks closer to his door, an overwhelming sensation grips his body and his heart beats faster and faster the closer he gets. "What is this unshakable feeling?," he thinks to himself. Just then, his mother swings the door open nearly hitting him. "Hurry honey, there's little time!," as she tosses him a neatly packed suitcase, the plane leaves for L.A. soon!" "Wait, don't I need a passport?" The word barely leave his lips just as a familiar black vehicle screeches around the corner and he hears, "come quickly young master!" As he is hurried into the car he is greeted by none other than Goda-sensei and Oono Akira's elder sister Makoto. The latter hands him a passport and Goda-sensei explains tearfully that she never wanted to hurt anyone and only acted on what she thought was best for Oono. Only to regret following orders. They explain that Oono is to complete college and then is to marry a suitable candidate of her mother's choosing and that Yaguchi has plenty of time to fight for the woman he loves, with their help.
