Chapter 1: First Day

POV-Tiara

Hey I'm Tiara shy, smart, and cute... at least I think so. I'm 17 and today was my first day of going 12th grade. I'm so excited, even though I know most people hate school I just like it. I don't have many friends, but at least I have myself right. And people just know me as the smartest person in the grade. Which is weird, but I believe it. Anyways let me get Ready.

"Tiara make sure you pick your brother up from school" my Mom yelled from downstairs.

"I will" I said yelling back.

As I got downstairs I made sure my lunch was ready because I really don't like the school food. Then I grabbed my bags with my books,phone, pen/pencils,  and schedule from orientation.

"Ka'sani come on I'm not tryna be late for school!" I said waiting for him to come out the door.

"Dang, okay chill. I just had to brush my teeth" said Ka'sani my brother.

"Mmmhhm you sure you brushed them because it don't smell like that"

"Leave me alone"

"Okay, I was just playing bro"

When we both left the house, we started making our ways to our schools. Since he's was only in 6th grade he had a different school from mines. I still don't understand why he can't walk home by himself, but okay.

Just a few steps away from the school I walked straight into the building with my school I.D, so I can be scanned as present. After that I made my way straight to the auditorium sitting in front seeing my friend, Alissa, waiting for me.

"Hey Tiara!" She said.

"Wassup Alissa, how's is going" I said as we both gave eachother a hug, then sat down have a good conversation.

As soon as the auditorium was full, the principal, Dean, staff, and teachers stood on the stage explaining the rules and expectations for the first day, and the rest of the year.

I went upstairs in the school hallways heading to my first class of advanced math. It was pretty easy the teacher was nice, a great help and cool because he would play good music while we did work, but still made sure we were learning. He said when we finish y'all are able to get your phones because it was only the first day. After hearing that I wasted no time trying to finish my work packet full of questions about math, then some about myself.

Then the bell ring and it was time for my next class, Highschool Science. I walk into the room and the teacher told us to stand near the wall because she assigned seats for us. It turns out Alissa was in my class too, we stood next to eachother just talking quietly.

"Hey, how was your first class?" said Alissa

"It was good, how was yours?"

"Terrible,  let me tell you the teacher gonna put me next to some dumb looking kid. And you know me I got an attitude when walking to my seat to sit down. But then the teacher gon say 'stand up and go do it correct Alissa" so I did but kept doing thing then-"Alissa said then she was cut of by the teacher.

"Alissa take a seat at table 4"Ms. Johnson said.(the teacher)

"Okay, ma'am" I noticed she was smirking walking to the table because if the cute boy she saw.

"Mmmhhm get it Alissa" I mouth to her as she laughed.

Then she called my name and said "Tiara your seat is at table 7" so I went straight to table 7 noticing this boy I nevered seen before. As usual I acted shy, and didn't say a word to him, and neither did he to me.

After she finished calling the names which to like 15-20mins, Ms. Johnson start her lesson talking about topics where discussing this year. Then telling us a little bit about herself. When she finished, she passed out a packed that we had to complete with our tabe partner, and she said this partners for the rest of the year. That's when the class groaned in agony because this wasn't fair, but I decided to deal with it since I wanna get a good grade and go to college.

When I got my packet I look at my partner and he said "Hey, soooo let's get started" in his deep voice making me more shy like you ain't have to do that but okay😏

I said "Okay"enough for him to hear me

"It's Maleek, what's yours"

"Tiara, okay so now we can fill out the first question"

"Next question how old are you"said Maleek

"I'm 17, you?"

"I'm 18 youngin"

"We are only one year apart, what do you mean" I said. "Talking about youngin" I mumbled.

He chuckled and we kept answering the questions going back and forth. Turns out he's a really cool person, but we only have one class together. At the end of class Ms. Johnson told us to keep contact with your partner's because we have a project next week and we could pick anything we want as long as it's science relate. We traded numbers and got ready for the next class going on with our day.

Lunch

It was now lunch time and I grabbed my lunch heading downstairs to the cafeteria. I look for Alissa so she can tell me what happened with that teacher because it was getting so interesting. When I saw her table, I sat down and told her to continue her story as I ate my sandwich and sour cream chips.

"So as I was saying I kept doing whatever he said with my attitude then he gonna walk over to me and slam his big ole hands down on my desk then yell in my face 'Alissa get your act together or you can leave' so you know what I did"

"Leave" I said

"Exactly then I walked to the Dean office like I don't got time to be dealing with y'all teachers, teach me stuff I'm not gonna us or remember, I'm so glad this our last year, but anyways you wanna talk about what happened in science with you and Maleek" she said smirking, and I blushed a little.

"Ooooohhhh, somebody blushing already" she said.

"Stoopp, Alissa it's not even like that we were just paired up for science. That's all."

"You sure because  I seen those looks, and I know you seen it too so don't try and I deny it."

"Okay, but I don't know I just met him and it going slow."

"It's fine Tiara, just do you and follow what you think is right or come to me for advice."she said.

"Alright" I said.

After that lunch was over and the rest of the day continue on with class after class..

Now it's the end of the day and we got out of school at 3:15. I walked my way to my brothers school, and picked him up so we can walk home.

Mom was still at work, so me and Ka'sani made sure everything was clean, nice and neat for her when she get home. We didn't wanna get a trouble or felt like getting yelled at. Later on around 5:26 I got a notification on snapchat saying YoitsMaleek added you.
