I pulled up to the gas station, eyeing a stunning 1967 Mustang parked at the pump across from me. Everything about this car screamed fast. The wide radials holding the car gave her an aggressive stance, while the front quarter panels were plastered with stickers of sponsors, all who had parts under the hood. The louvres that lay nestled behind the doors and on the back windows streamlined the car, pulling air into her sides to push her faster down the road. I noticed movement in the back seat. Thinking it was just a regular passenger, I was surprised when a lumbering black German Shepherd stuck its head out of the window from behind the passenger seat. Its dark eyes shone in the early morning sun, searching for their owner.

"Pretty nice right?" A feminine voice chirped from just outside my own window. I turned to come face to face with a pair of (y/e/c) eyes. A bright smile crossed her face, but it didn't quite reach all of her. She had seen or been through something that had hardened her from the inside out. "But yours," she bit her lip and swept her arm down the length of Baby. Taking a step back to allow me to get out and start fueling up, she locked eyes with me once again. "Wow." She said with a breathy chuckle.

"Do you know who's driving it?" I asked, trying to make small talk with the hardened woman about the blue car.

"Some guy, local... names (y/l/n), I think." She leant against the pump and stared at the dog in the other car. "Just saw him go in and buy a pack of smokes." Her head rested against the pump, her eyes closed as a light breeze swept over us. The front of her green plaid flannel caught in the wind and flew open, exposing an anti possession tattoo under her left collarbone.

"Nice tat." I said, placing the pump back on the rack after it clicked off. "Where are you headed?" She opened one eye and cocked an eyebrow at me, suspicion crossing her face.

"Tahoe, home." She pulled her keys out of her jeans pocket and began palming them anxiously. "Caught wind of a Wendigo having a buffet. Right in my backyard and I never knew it."

"What a coincidence," I opened the door to Baby, and placed one foot inside. "I'm on my way up there too. Names Dean by the way." The nameless girl gave me another smile as I held out my hand for her to shake. "Dean Winchester."

"Well Dean," She took my hand and shook it firmly. "Motels up there can be awfully expensive. I'm off Valley Road, 5 miles outside Donner Pass." She turned on her heels and began walking to her car, the sea blue Mustang. Letting out a sharp whistle, the German Shepherd appeared again and let out an excited bark.

"You're (y/l/n)?" I asked, trying not to drool over the woman who was getting more perfect by the second.

"(y/f/n) (y/l/n)," She unlocked the driver's side door and sunk into the driver's seat. Leaning over to her passenger window I heard her shout. "Race you there?" Without letting me answer, she fired up the engine. I could feel the roar of the motor deep within my stomach, as she idled waiting to hear what I had stored under the hood.

"You're on."
