'Who that, who that, who that boy, seen through the crowd?'

'That unconcerned look, I like that, it excites my curiosity.' - s o n g : bad boy - red velvet

Loralei tried to make out the fuzzy lines that were her bedroom. The first thing she woke up to was the sound of music blasting through her head. She clambered out of her bed and slid down the ladder onto the ground.

The air was... sweet. She cursed under her breath. Her sister was probably intoxicating the air with rose perfume trying hard to be aesthetic or something. Loralei noticed that she still had her headphones on her. She peeled the headphones off her head and threw them aside.

She did her normal routine, dressing, brushing her teeth and all that jazz. Something bothered her while she washed her face. Something still smelt sweet. It hadn't been there before. She turned back to the mirror. Shit, thought Loralei. Did she get any sleep last night? Oh welp. I'll sleep tonight.

"LORALEI!" said a voice suddenly, breaking her train of thought. She headed towards the voice. Her sister, Mallory, stood in front of her glowering. "So?!" She said angrily.

"What are you on about?" said Loralei tiredly. "What in the- the- FRAPPE is this smell!?" said Mallory. " Idk. Nor do I give a fuck." replied Loralei. "Language! Shut it! I'm going for school." "But what about food?" "Cook yourself." "Fu- I mean- ok."

Loralei walked to school, kicking the stones off the sidewalk. Something was wrong. The air was sweet. Intoxicating even. Nonetheless, she kept on walking.

You unlocked a special poem!

Candy. Sweet and fragrant. Chocolates, gummies and lollipops. But none of those gifts can penetrate through the cold fortress that is my heart. Life is like a box of chocolates. Worthless.

Hi. It's me. Thank you for reading this thing. Feel free to judge or give me tips. I'm not the best but I try.

Anyway, here's Monika's writing tip of the day! Sometimes, when you're writing a poem -or a story- your brain gets fixated on a specific point. If you try so hard to make it perfect, then you'll never make any progress. Just force yourself to get something down on the paper, and tidy it up later! Another way to think about is this: if you keep your pen on the same spot for too long, you'll just get a big dark puddle of ink. So just move your hand and go with the flow! Thanks for listening~

(Did i just make a doki doki literature club reference? yes. yes i did and i have no regrets.)
