The date was Friday August 12, 2005 in Jennie Sealy Hospital room 1002. You could hear screams and shouts of agony and fear, most coming from the lady on the hospital bed, however there were a few coming from certain doctors along with what sounded like a baby. That sound would soon have a face to match it, however that face would only be seen for half of a second before the baby slipped out of the doctors hands and luckily fell onto the mother. That baby was me, Jacques Noir… However let’s rewind a few weeks just before the 31st of July to see what led up to this exact moment in time. You see, my mother, Nikita Lux, previously gave birth to four other children, but the surprise of my birth came from the fact that she was told she would never be able to have children again. So even though she had been pregnant a total of four times previously, she was completely convinced that she was just gaining weight and the pains were just normal…
That was until mid April in which she finally decided to go to the hospital in which they informed her that she was pregnant and the baby growing inside of , myself, wasa female and supposed to be born on July 30th which was the same day as her birthday. Yet, sadly this didn’t happen due to complications in which none of us were prepared for and no one was able to predict, my mother didn’t drink or smoke during the entire pregnancy even though she didn’t know that she was pregnant. It just wasn’t her, however, it seemed that she had been taking antacids and other heartburn medicine quite frequently throughout all nine months of the pregnancy, which led to certain problems with the fetus that was growing inside of her, however these problems would soon vanish as time went by. Which meant that she would be able to spend less time in the hospital and more time buying baby toys and clothes, but what no one realized was,the baby that was inside of her was not female but instead male, but the only baby clothes were all meant to be worn for females, but we’ll come back to that later.
Fast forward a few months, and the date is now July 30th, 2005, and my mother is ready to deliver however, she begins to crave something rather… interesting… and with this craving she decided to sneak out of the hospital and began to walk to our home, where she proceeded to take all of my siblings and even my father to the grocery store, where they brought a list of items, and then returned to my childhood home. After entering the house my mother felt constant contractions, however she held the fetus inside of her body as long as possible while she continued to make banana pudding, and although no one knew what my mother was doing home, no one stopped her. Until she finished making the pudding, had two spoonfuls, and called the ambulance who had been waiting outside of the house for quite awhile as they began to knock on the door literally seconds after she called.
While my mother was going through this cycle of pain, anger, confusion, etc. my father had plans of his own, as he had decided to pack his bags while my mother was in the hospital and then proceeded to walk out of not only my family’s home, but as well as my life. Even if I wasn’t born yet… Though, many people would be devastated and left with a feeling of sadness, I didn’t mind it. After all I was only about a day old when pretty much everyone found out what my father had done, and as a newborn, my brain couldn’t really understand and/or comprehend what anything/anyone was besides my mother.
However this brings us back on track to our story, you see I had been waiting to come out of my mother for so long that I had become stuck and it stayed that way for almost three weeks, in which at 2:57 a.m. I was finally able to find my way out of the darkness that was my mother, and into the light in the hands of an extremely kind and sweet lady, who would later be identified as Dr. Ross. And to everyone’s surprise it was a boy that had been born that night and not a female, which was explained later by my doctor who stated that I had a twin in the womb who overtook my body but was later killed… So when the doctor announced that I was a male, everyone was in complete and utter shock as no one had planned for this so now my mother had to scramble to find male baby items including a crib, which I never slept in, and it didn't help that she still didn't have a name for me... She didn't want to give me a rather girly name out of fear that I'd get bullied, so instead she named me Jacques William Noir, after her father who was definitely the most amazing man I have ever known.
