The Girl Next Door (Violetine AU)

"Welcome to Ericson's Hellhole"

It was Clementine's first day of Ericson high, she was super nervous but excited. "Lee have you seen my backpack?" Clem asked her adoptive father "yeah it's right here sweetpea," Lee replied Clementine came downstairs to get her backpack then her and Lee got in the car.

They arrived at Ericsons and Clem got out. "OH my god, this place is huge," Clementine mumbled to herself taking a deep breath. Just as she was about to walk in an old rusted truck drove up beside her, she didn't really pay any attention until someone got out, it was a short blonde haired girl with green eyes, just barely taller than Clem. Clementine couldn't help but stare, this girl was beautiful. "Clem stop, it's not right, you're a girl, you can't like girls," She told herself.

"You must be Clementine?" A voice behind her questioned. Clem turned to see a taller dude with a blonde messy mullet and a red haired girl beside him. "I'm Marlon and this is Brody," Marlon pointed to the girl beside him as they began to walk, "Welcome to Ericson's hellhole," Brody hit Marlons arm but Clementine turned to see if the blonde girl was still there but she was no where to be seen, Clem sighed and sprinted to Marlon. "So Clem, do you play any sports?" Marlon questioned "Yeah! I played baseball back in Macon," Clem accidentally blurted out, Marlon and Brody just nodded until they stopped at a door. "Okay, this is what class you're supposed to be in. Me and my friends are in this class so you can sit with us," Marlon smiled.

They all three walked in and something caught Clementine's eyes, it was the blonde girl, Brody must've noticed Clem staring because she pulled Clem over to the blonde. "Clem, this is Viole- The blonde cut Brody off "I'm Violet, but you can call me Vi" Violet stuttered a little. Clementine could have sworn Vi was blushing but she just brushed it off "I'm Clementine Everett" Clem introduced herself as she sat down beside a dark boy with shoulder length dreads, he smiled. "I'm Louis but you can call me yours" "No, I'm okay, I'm not really into guys who are full of themselves" Clem said with a slight attitude. "Damn Lou, she shot you down" Violet chuckled and turned to Clementine. "I like you already Everett," Clementine could feel her cheeks glowing red at what Vi just said to her. "Uh th-thanks," Clem was distracted for the rest of class by Violet, she tried to look away but couldn't.

"CLEMENTINE MARSH EVERETT!" Clem snapped out of her thoughts and turned to see her teacher. "Answer my question and stop staring at Ms. Adlon" Clementine turned so red as she turned to Vi who was staring and blushing just as much. "Um I-I'm sorry, what's the question?" Clem looked embarrassed "Start paying attentionin in class instead of observing Ms. Adlon!" The teacher yelled as everyone started laughing and one of the kids yelled a slur.
Clementine was so embarrassed, she couldn't even look at Violet

Class had ended and it was time for lunch, Marlon, Brody, and Louis already walked out to meet up with the rest of their friend group. "Hey Everett, come on!" Violet called out, Clem walked past Vi like she wasn't even there. Vi followed Clem "Everett what's wrong? You look mad," Violet questioned, Clementine snapped, "Violet leave me the hell alone, okay! You already got me in trouble and now people think I like you!" Violet put her head down and Clem kept fussing, "Im not gay, it's gross and it's a sin!" Clementine watched as Violet's whole face got paler, as Violet walked away Clem realized what she said and instantly regretted it.

Clem made her way to the cafeteria to find Marlon to tell him what happened, as she entered she saw the group. "Marlon!" She shouted and he ran over, "Oh hey Clem, you made it, he paused, where's Vi?" Clementine explained what happened and Marlon was pretty understanding, they went and told Brody and asked if she'd heard from Vi, she hadn't so the three split up to find her.

VIOLETS POV

I told Everett to come on, I was gonna show her to the cafeteria but she just walked right past me like she didn't see me, I thought I did something so I asked. She exploded and said I got her in trouble and that she's not gay because it's gross, my heart shattered, I felt like crying so I walked away so she wouldn't see. I somehow ended up in a bathroom on the floor sobbing. Violet thought, "fuck Im So stupid, I barely even knew her and I developed a crush!" Violet began to cry again until she heard the bathroom door open followed with a familiar voice, it was Brody "Vi! Everybody's been looking for you" Brody hugged the blonde and called for the others.

Everett walked in looking very guilty as everyone else walked out. "Vi, I- I'm so sorry, I-" I  cut Everett off, "It's okay Everett, I understand" Everett smiled as we walked out together.

"Hey Vi, do you wanna come over for a sleepover next week, I'll ask Marlon and the others too" I could feel myself blushing, spending the night at Clementine Marsh Everett's house! "Uh yeah sure, me and Louis will be there for sure" Everett went to ask the rest of the group and they agreed.
