Chapter 1

Bella gently placed her guitar on its stand beside her, smiling into the video camera. “So, in case you hadn't already noticed, that was my cover of Ed Sheeran's Lego House. I hope it wasn't too sore on your ears,” She smiled charmingly into the lens, a trace of a British accent identifiable in her words. “Please, do like this video and subscribe to my channel, it would truly make my day-”
A shrill ring interrupted her.
“Dammit,” Bella swore under her breath, quickly cutting off the film. It had taken her three days to perfect that song. Of course, she could always edit the ringing out later, but it was all just more work.
“Hello?” She answered her phone, irritation clear in her voice.
“Bells? What's wrong, did I interrupt something?” Maria asked, immediately noticing her younger sister's mood. Bella sighed, running a hand through her hair.
“No, no. It's fine don't worry. I was just wrapping up a video. What did you need?” Maria frowned, feeling guilty.
“Oh, well I was wondering if you'd like to grab a coffee? I figured we could catch up, you know, seeing as I haven't seen much of you the past few months with your schedule and all. But if your too busy-”
Bella interrupted her. It would do her some good to get out a bit. And besides, she hadn't left her apartment in days.“No, a coffee actually sounds really good right now. I'll meet you at the normal Starbucks in ten?”
Maria smiled on the other end. “Sounds good. Bye sis, love you!”
“Yeah, yeah. Love you too.” Bella let a grin fall on her face as she ended the call. Some time with her sister was just what she needed right now.

“Oh, it was just so beautiful Bells! I wish you could have seen it,” Maria sighed blissfully as she gushed to her younger sister about her date the previous night. Bella smiled.
“So, is he planning on popping the question anytime soon then?” Maria choked on her coffee, slapping her playfully on the leg.
“No! We've only been together for nine months Bella, don't you think it'd be a bit soon?” Bella shrugged, sipping her late.
“Doesn't sound like it to me,” She grinned at Maria, who simply smiled back.
“We'll see...” She looked back at Bella teasingly. “So, fancy any cute boys?”
Bella shook her head, laughing quietly to herself. “No.” Her sister gasped at her.
“Bells! This is New York! There are plenty of hot guys, you just need to get your arse out of that flat of yours and live a little!” Maria shook her head at her, grinning.
Bella opened her mouth to object, but a buzzing cut her off. “Oh, crap, I'm sorry Bells. I've gotta take this, it's work,” Maria motioned to the ringing phone in her hand. Bella nodded understandingly.
“That's alright,” She stood from her chair. “I should actually get going anyways.”
Her sister pouted, standing to toss her cup in the trash. “Okay, well, I'll see you soon Bells. Keep yourself out of trouble, yeah?”She teased, pressing her phone to her ear. Bella laughed silently, waving a quick farewell to the older girl before heading home.

Louis Tomlinson stood staring solemnly at the ground beneath his feet. His mother stood a few feet in front of him, tears pouring down her cheeks as she gently placed white roses beside each piece of cobblestone. Louis held his roses tightly in his hands, not minding the thorns piercing his delicate flesh. When his mother stood back, he silently took her place, resting a rose beside his father's tombstone.
He bit his lip, trying to stop the tears that threatened to spill from his eyes. He shuffled his feet to the next grave. A single tear slid down his cheek as he left a rose on each of the twins tombstones. When he reached the last one, he felt his breath stop.
Louis knew, that unlike the other three graves, this one didn't have a body buried beneath the soil. There was a chance, however slim, that the oldest of his sisters was still out there somewhere. In fact, he couldn't help but feel that she was.
He would know- he would feel it deep down- if she was truly dead. Wouldn't he?
Never the less, nothing could stop the tears that now poured endlessly from his eyes. He felt himself fall to his knees, resting his head on the dull grey tombstone as sobs racked his body. A warm hand was placed on his shoulder, and Louis didn't have to look to know that it was his mother. “Shh,” She cooed into his ear. “It'll be okay,” She promised, tears of her own staining her cheeks.
He clung to his mother, knowing it was a lie. It wouldn't be okay. Not until he found his little sister.

“Sick? What do you mean she's sick?” Claude groaned, letting his head fall onto his desk. “She can't be sick! The tour is in less than two months! The boys need her, she's the best act yet!”
“I'm sorry sir,” A voice came through the telephone. “It doesn't look like she'll make it by then. Her doctor has her on vocal rest; she can hardly speak.”
Claude sighed, running a hand over his shaven head. “Very well, send her our regards.”
“Will do, sir. She is very sorry for the inconvenience this has brought onto you and the boys.” The same mechanical voice replied. Claude rubbed his temples in annoyance.
“Right, tell her not to worry. We hope she has a healthy recovery.” With that the call ended.
Once more, the middle aged man's head fell to his desk. This was not good. How was he supposed to find a replacement and have them prepared for a live tour in under two months? It wasn't possible.
“Mr. Morris?” A knock sounded on his office door.
“Ah, Andy. What can I do for you, son?” Claude gave the twenty year old a small smile. Andy returned it with a sympathetic one, holding up a coffee pot.
“Another cup, sir?” The older man nodded.
“Please,” He gestured to the empty mug sitting on a pile of paper work. Andy glanced at the papers as he poured his boss a fresh coffee.
“What are these for, sir?”
Claude took the papers from under the cup. “Applications for auditions. The boys opening act came down with something, had to quit. I haven't got a clue how I'm supposed to find her a replacement.” He sighed once more.
Andy, however, seemed to have other thoughts. “Mr. Morris, I might have the perfect replacement for you.”
