Have you been considering getting an Australian Shepherd? Well, they are great dogs. They are loyal, smart, eager to please, obedient, and full of love and energy. But maybe a little too much energy, for some people. Again they are wonderful dogs, but they are high energy working dogs, and need lots of both physical and mental stimulation. I stress this point because I would hate to see someone get an aussie, realizing they can't meet its needs, and giving it away to a shelter. if you are looking for a good family dog I would suggest a Labrador or Golden retriever. But you're here to learn about aussies. So lets get to it.
