A/N: I was 8 or something when I wrote this, so don't judge. Maybe don't read this, read my other story perhaps?

************************************************************************************

**Takes place in the middle of nowhere, 1999*

This is about a girl, her name was Christina. She was mostly known as Chry, for that is what they called her. She had this little apple tree orchard behind her small little cabin. There was a small pond she would play in everyday. This little girl, curiousity is what kept her entertained. One day, she goes beyond the orchard when she encounters a forest. This is where the story begins.

***********************************************************************************

I was about 7, living only with my 15 year old brother and my mother. Life was a like a relaxing movie. Nothing went wrong. My father had drowned and died, at least that's what I've heard. I never met my father, he died when I was a baby. Anyways, one day I went into the orchard. "Never go past the orchard" I remember hearing as a baby. I think it was my father telling me that. I never went past the orchard. Of course, one day, my curiousity struck me. I woke up early one morning, told my mother I was going off, and did my daily routine.

What I usually did in the mornings was I would first take a walk towards the orchard. My brother had a friend that lived next to us. That was the only person near us for over 100 miles. There was no school, my mother would homeschool us after dinner. And my brother would walk out with me, for his friend was near the orchard. One day I didn't wait for my brother to wake up. So I just walked right out. I had gone into the orchard, as usual. There is a pond in the middle of the orchard, which I sometimes play in and eat apples and a sandwich.

That day, I didn't eat. I ran zig zag between all the apple trees. It seems to go on forever. Finally there was less apple trees. I had reached the end. All I saw was a bag of something and a pillow and a table cloth on the ground. Beyond there was just flat land. It looked like someone had been placing rocks everywhere and planting trees and then stopped after the table cloth. The items had aged from so many years. I wondered if they were my mother's. She used to have my curiousity until my father passed is what I've been told by my brother. Her family had lived here for a LONG time. I couldn't imagine this being from my grandmother.

I took the bag and I ran towards the pond. I sat down and then I decided to eat. I had brought the bag with me. I decided to come back tomorrow, and then I would open the bag. It got dark quickly. I decided to head home. I started running to go out, for I knew it would get even more darker. I started to see an opening, and all I saw was an open space. There should've been two houses, I thought. I realized I had gone the wrong direction. So I ran on the edge on the orchard, only to find I was very close to my house.

I got home and I got my brother from his friend's house. We walked home and I was trying to hide the bag.

"Chry, what's that bag?"

"What bag?" I asked hoping he wouldn't look in it.

"Give it!" he said.

"It's a present for mother."

We got home and we ate dinner and learned a small math lesson from Mother. Then we went to bed and I couldn't stop thinking of what was in the bag. I finally fell asleep, and woke up early in the morning. I grabbed a small little snack to eat, and left a note for Mother telling her I was leaving for the day. I made myself a sandwich for the day and I left. I decided I would eat first at the pond and open the bag. But I just decided to go the end first and then open the bag. I ran to the end, and I my jaw dropped when I got there. I fell to my knees and stayed there for a minute. The blanket was in the same place, the flat land behind it, disapeared. There was this giant forest. I looked up at the tall trees, and I almost fell backwards. They were so tall, i've never seen trees so tall.

I got really scared, I ran back to the pond. I had left the bag and my lunch at the pond. I ran back as fast as I could. Once I got to the pond, my stuff was gone. It was hanging from a nearby tree. I saw written in the moist dirt probably by a stick, the words 'BEWARE OF THE BEYOND' in bold and bulky letters. I grabbed my stuff, terrified, and ran for my life. Who could've done that? My brother? His friend? Mother?!! I found out later in the dark future.
